got this beast today,

its a real sweet bike the clutch is a bit heavy in the city and can be a pain in the ... to find netural at the lights but get out of the city and its a blast.. not as mental as the jap 1000's but it pulled nicely all the way to 168mph

the R version must be totally awesome

Nice, I nearly bought one of those a few years ago. Don't listen to how hard they are to work on they're fairly straightforward. Keep an eye on the clutch slave cylinder as the seals can leak but apart from that they're a great bike.

cheers man, tks for the heads up..

i agree, i worked for an aprilla agent and i loved working on them, need a bit of technique to do oil changes as i remenber, due to oil in frame.

Nice bike, I had it few years ago, 40.000km of good experience and joy on the track and on the road
<

It was my first non Japanese bike, after that I was so enthusiastic about Aprilia that my next was RSV 1000R Factory
<

I love twins..... motorcycles also
<

Be sure to check bolts often....friend i ride with had one for years and was notorious for losing bolts...kick-stand was the worst...he lost 2 of them.
<

Great bike, i loved riding it...

Rog the oil has never been in the frame it's always been in the oil tank on the side

+1 for checking bolts.

so far - the tail light and a panel bolt have vibrated themselves off my 'prilia.
<

i've only had the fekin thing a week.

you still got the 'Berg ? Is the 'prilia in your front room too ?

was a few years ago admitly, same difference really i.e dry sum and a swine to get the level right when cold.
<
i seem to remember having to leave it by the garage door ticking over for ages to get it up to temp. i thought the onboard diognostics was handy tho.

I LOVE Aprilias, especially the Mille's and the RSV.

I swear, one day I'll get one to purely thrash around the track.
<

Nice bike, I just got my Aprilia home yesterday, been off work sick and couldnt get to pick it up!

The first 24 hours have been a .... load of fun though!

Pete

its been lashing rain here the last couple of days so ive been out on the berg slippin and slidin all over the place
<

baldy, ya shes keeping the berg company
<

i havent cheaked but the last time i was out there was nothing vibrating on the bike.. im kinda paranoid now ill be cheaking the bolts before and after every rider but as a general rule when i wash the bikes i always give bolts a quick once over to make sure there tightened up

partysan, that a gorgeous bike the factory r is THE DOGS BOLLOCKS
