Rossi Signs for 2 more years with Yamaha

i wonder if they gonna sign a deal with JL if he doesn't do any better for the rest of the season, i still think yamaha should sign him though

They will not have the rest of the season to decide, Lorenzo will not allow it. Lorenzo needs to go on the offensive and dare Yamaha to make a risky decision. He must at least act as if he will walk if Yamaha keeps up their low ball games.

Its standard but JLo may want to keep his options open if Yamaha dont give him the goods to beat MM in 2015...

If I was Yamaha I think one year would have been enough considering the potential of the Espargargo boys and Valentino's age. If put on the table he still would have signed for 12 months. That would give another year experience for either of the Espargargo's and both will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future if given the right machine...Uccio could always trade VR in on a younger model!

Good points all....
....but so far Pol hasnt done anything as spectacular as MM in 2013....so far no podiums and best finish of 4th....

As for Alex...king of CRTs is all he will ever be....
 
Rossi , Pedrosa , Lorenzo , pol espargaro (espesically him) , iannone , bradl , scott redding and 5-6 other guys beat marquez previously in a real fight. If the first 3 guys cannot beat him now maybe factories could give a chance to other guys if they want better results from Rossi, pedrosa and Lorenzo.

Besides being a top racer, Rossi is an excellent businessman. Suzuki would leap at an opportunity to sign Rossi. He would bring his fan base, sponsorship money and the VR46 corporation. These are the very things that Suzuki needs for start up and inject them with some much needed cash.

Yamaha knew this and chose to keep these things with a two year deal as Rossi desired.

Do you really think that if Pol had the Factory Yamaha....he'd be able to beat MM...?

Beating someone in Moto2 or 250s may not mean anything when stepping up to MotoGP....

Pol will fall short just like Bradl has....IMO
 
Look in the opposite direction
MM93 beat all these guys (except three) in moto2 and 125cc and when step up in motogp won the championship and continue to do what did the previous years....

Maybe Pol hasn't been as spectacular in his rookie year as MM was, but he isn't on a Factory Repsol Honda either, I think Yamaha need to try something different and it appears they are the best option at the moment. They are young and full of motivation to prove themselves, neither are scared or willing to accept 2nd.

Remember MM starting dead last in Moto2 and passing the entire field. Not an easy task that.
