After FP2 The only michelin rider in the top6 was stoner.

EDIT i meant After FP2 The only Bridge rider in the top6 was stoner.

And rossi on the same bike as newbie horhey is nearly 1 second slower than his "teammate". .... even edwards is .50 faster than rossi
<

i've watched all of last seasons races again and have to say other than stoners performance, michelin dominated the racing much more than Bridestone ever did. even including stoner, there were quite a few tracks where michelin were superior than the bridestones.

i got a feeling rossi is now left in the cold, both in terms of what info he can get from his testing as he is the lone bridgestone/yamaha rider.

i bet he now wishes he had a team-mate and was riding on the same tires ads the other yamaha riders

You have to give Pinky some credit. We know exactly where he stands. I almost hope that Rossi can get a few early wins to see how Pinky is going to cover up his .... talking .... I like to reserve my judgement after I see the race but I do enjoy hearing the .... talkers. Some of it makes me laugh my ... off

Michelin have improved, but not THIS much imho. Let us keep in mind that they have had 2 days of tests without any restrictions on tyres on this track, so they have been able to do what they do best - test, then make a custom tyre for specific conditions.

It might be difficult for them to repeat this.

I thought Pinky did that on purpose
<
<

in the end it double reinforces the fact ..... he made even the detractors become cognisant of the reality by causing us to join the ideology of "no flashoods", then let us rectify the facts, thus making us both believers and owners of that fact ....

Is Pinky a slouch? .... or perhaps a clever Stoner spin man getting in at grass roots level here ..

We still don't know whether there was actually anything wrong with the Michelins in the first place remember ...... Rossi changing to Bridgestones was going to be a decisive test ...... and performance so far ( testing 06-07 v's 07-08 + QatFP ), assuming Rossi is still "up there", suggests that Rossi has gone worse on the Bridgestones.

But I personally feel its a dud test ..... a I don't think Rossi is still "up there".

Is it National Crack Smoking Day in Australia or what?
<

We haven't even had one lap of a race yet, & even after Qatar we have to see how they work in the day.

Ask again at Jerez.

i think rossi has huge pressure on him now.

its the test 2 c if he is the real deal or not.

his main challenge may not even to win the WC. everyone expects stoner to win and he is meeting that expectation.

but everyone is also expecting rossi to beat horhey

what can rossi do if he cant beat horhey on a yamaha and stoner on the bridestones?

cant blame the bike, and also cant blame the tires.

either way hes out of excuses.

Good point Pinky!

I think you're forgeting the excuse of not having ridden the tyres before.

Nope. He can still blame that Yamaha and Stones do not go well together...

Apart from this senseless game of "excuses", which brings up kindergarten undertones, if we stick to the facts we see that Rossi was fast in Jerez and very fast in Sepang. It's probably early to declare him dead. Then this Losail GP is rather peculiar.

It is peculiar not only because of the night race and low temperatures, but also because Bridgestones and Michelin enjoyed 2 days of tests without any restrictions on the number of tyres, something they are not going to enjoy again this year. MIchelin are the best at making custom tyres for specific conditions, given the time and rubber, and they've taken advantage of it as it shows.

Lorenzo is not such a big surprise. He has won 4 times in Qatar, with 4 poles, so he's on his favourite track and Michelin are serving him as well as they can, understandably. The other rookies are also eager to shine.

We'll see more on Sunday... Not much to wait...

yeah and horhey is saying i've ridden on a 800 yamaha and bridgestone for the past 10 years also

end of day if your fast your fast, it dont matter if u ever seen the rack before or not, it dont mean a whole 1 second difference.

any prior track knowlege orfamiliarity with the bike will be eaten up within a few test sessions.

Just wait 'til the end. Anything can happen.....
Before 2007, nobody knows Stoner. And he nailed everybody.
2008? My heart says Rossi, but who knows? Lorenzo ???? What a surprise...

I see it pretty much the same way.
It's a night race and track temperatures are low.
Vale may struggle here, same as some other Bridgestone guys.
But come Jerez he will be back on it.
I don't think this race will necessarily gives us a run down on how the season might progress.
It's the only night race on the calendar after all.
