Rossi to ride in Moto2 and MotoGP?
By Visordown News
Visordown's MotoGP mole unearths a rather tasty titbit from the premier class paddock

THIS MAY be just a ruse to generate some interest in the lacklustre Moto2 600cc idea - but some people in the MotoGP paddock are saying that Valentino Rossi could compete in both the 600cc and 800cc class from next year.
If it happens it will ape the legendary 1985 season when Freddie Spencer competed in both the 250cc and 500cc classes - and won both championships (he's the man - Ed).

There's been nothing official from either Yamaha or Rossi's people about this, but it does seem pretty far-fetched to us.

Unless there's enough money in the Japanese firm's bank to get the eight-time world champion to do it, of course.

Imagine that: Rossi riding in both series. Come on Vale; let's see it happen!

Contracted to yamaha.... you think they would let him ride a honda? or yamaha make a moto2 bike with honda power... nahhhh april 1st has come round again!

I thought there was something in the rules that prevents competing in more than one class but then spies did a laguna so maybe im wrong .

Man you are right on the money! No way Yama would allow him to ride red!

April is a long way away!

There's more chance of:-

a) Being bitten by a dinosaur
<
Being .... on by a Dodo
c) Me riding in Moto2

Than Rossifumi riding in Moto2 next year.

Be cool though

Rossi in Moto2? Its a cheap news. But if Micheal Schumacher ride in Moto2 for a season, thats fun. He could easily set up a privateer team and bring in sponsors while having fun learning the competition.

I really do think this rumor is true. Reason why I believe so is because an arrogant and cocky racer like Rossi would just love to beat every record in the book.

He should worry more about this year...... I don't think his little mind games is working with Jorge Lorenzo.

You're allowed to be a bit arrogant when you've won 8 world championships

you probably believe in the tooth - fairy too

rossi has won more races than lorenzo has ever competed in - he doesn't need a mind game

anybody who thinks Yamaha would contractually allow him to risk their title chances on a honda-powered 600 - probably believes in daddy christmas as weel as the tooth fairy

Not a chance. But would be great to see, bunch of ultra agressive talented kids like Simoncelli and Bautista sticking it to Rossi.

I remember Stefan Everts racing in all three races one GP (125cc, 250cc and 500cc) and winning them all, but I don't see Rossi in the same level of supreme GOATness to achieve that, not even just on 2 categories.

Man, it'd be cool to see.

Pedrosa maybe, he is on HRC machine and with his size and weight suit well with Moto2..

It's not a viable comparison, for innumerable reasons.

Everts also secured championships for the big four Jap factories. There's still time for Vale to broker one year deals with both Kawa and Suzuki when his Yamaha contract expires
