"In a few years, when I'm older, I could even race in Superbikes with Ducati," Rossi said at a Ducati promotional event in Bologna

Yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rossi is not getting his way so he will switch to some other series (F1, WRC, WSBK. Darts, snooker, marbles, swimming squirrel catapulting...whatever)

This is soooooooooooo overdone by Rossi that I'm pretty sure no one takes his "well I'm going to take my bat and my ball and go somewhere else now" .... seriously.

Honestly, Rossi, .... off to super bikes so Max can take his revenge.

You only said it because Chubby Checker won both races of the opening round on a Ducati (he may have done this previously and lost the series).

Follow the trail of bread crumbs, no, follow the trail of Kleenex tissues falling out of Rossi's pocket as he weeps because everyone else isn't playing fair by losing to him

SOOK

Chill out dude!

Dorna's worst nightmare.
<

It would be f-ing awesome though if he'd do it when he's in his mid 30's or something.

Lets not panic, Rossi won't leave motogp until he is unable to win, meaning the GP scene will already be equipped with a new generation of superior riders. Then Rossi will just be another ex GP guy who wants to keep winning. Obviously he will be a bigger deal than any before him, but its not like he'll be gutting GP. I too think this is a story he likes to run when things aren't going so well to make the people running motogp scratch their heads, but it wont work because the problem he has at the moment (if he even has one) is not about the GP formula, its just his position on the grid.

Chill out dude!

Okay, having taken my chill pill there is a history of Rossi threatening to leave when things don't go his way. He has made inumerable threats to go to Rally and F1 during the tyre debacle of 2008, as well as other various low points in his career. His anti team mate foot stamping breath holding fit against Lorenzo last year was a classic example. He is only cool when winning.

My point, it is getting a little tired now, the cry wolf thing is losing its impact.

I think I posted that on a Saturday night after a few ales, but the sentiment is the same.

I also agree wholeheartedly with the suspicion that he is already on the Dorna payroll.

Yep, and to think some fans call Stoner a whiner.....

Hope VR gets lapped this year!

That's great news. That means Rossi will be around till at least 2010

That's a dig at Biaggi and superbikes in general, and absolutely nothing more. To discuss a possible move is egg on your face, jokes on YOU. And its not the first time he's done it. Most people glossed over the comment he made when giving his "congrats" to Biaggi saying, 'getting the title was not bad considering how old Biaggi is'. I say, .... him! Arrogant comment. No advantage Rossi is better than average rider Rossi. Period.

Some people moan about Rossi whining and Stoner doing the same, but its the same here with everyone reading sooooooo much into his comments, can't you see that every time he makes these statements people get sucked into conversations about it!

The person that says "fk off to Superbikes then" shouldn't even be on here, let alone be watching a sport that clearly is to much for him.

I don't hate any rider or wish them to sod off to another sport albeit that i border almost detesting Lorenzo but i still admire his talents and give credit where credit is due. Wanting a rider to move out of the premier class and wanting the sport to suffer alike because it does when a big named rider does move, but there are big names and then there is Rossi, hate it or not he is the biggest name by default of the sport and to achieve a greater name in your own mind you have to go look for them. A fantastic riding style, one championship under your belt, lots of poles and wins, lots of saving the bike moments, lots of lap record breaking last lap moments does not quantify you as a big name because lets face it they are all sodding capable of doing it at some point or another in there career, well some are. Rossi has done pretty much everything and its not always been about what he does on the bike, after all how can so many people be so wrong about his talents. Stoner is an awesome rider, as is Lorenzo, albeit my least favourite rider and personality but you can hate someone yet still have respect and understanding for the riders abilities. Love the sport and enjoy the battles but don't slate riders because of there comments on and off track, lets face it...we love it really!!!! :)
