If Yamaha were smart, they should bring out an M1 based collectors edition bike, to comemorate Rossi's 7th MotoGP championship. Make a limited production run, number each one individually, and give buyers the option of either a full Fiat livery or a plain blue / white livery.

Ducati built 1,500 Desmos, and almost sold out immediately, at about three times the price of their most expensive bike (1098R).
Yamaha should do the same.

Even valentino can't give a yamaha the same cachet as a ducati.

its still "just" a R1 with a pretty graphics job. not quite the same league as an M1, even a road-going one..

Of course... that's why I said: 'More or "Less"'!

It is worlds closer to Rossi's M1 than Nicky Hayden's 990 painted rep CBR1000rr of a few years ago. Well at least the engine is the same configuration
