The MotoGP commentators love fest with Marquez ... literally one lap earlier they are talking how he's a more controlled rider and has matured blah blah blah ... the same BS they spout about Marquez every weekend as the "bond" with him in ways only they understand.

And then ... this:



I've got this playing on a loop whenever I'm having a bad work day this cheers me right up. And to top that off the Marquez teeny-bopers that were so heart broken when he fell ... they were crying ... aaaah, poor little babies.

But the commentators, seriously, what is up with them? Are they under contract to mention the word "Marquez" at least 15 times per minute?

Congrats to Alex Rins and to Rossi for making the race interesting and for Rossi's fastest race lap. I can't imagine being 40 years old, 6 feet tall, on a 300HP bike at such a physically demanding track as COTA and be fighting for a win ... now that boggles my mind. But the 5'6" 130 lbs 26 year old Marquez on the best bike in the paddock just not impressed.
 
Wat? Haven't you heard it was all conspiracy to take out Hondas, they planted a virus in electronics. Yet, Rins came and unexpectedly spoiled the game.

Yeah, what the muppet fail to see is 2018 & 2019 share the same for Marc's first three races. He may have to go two extra this year to wrap up the title. More competition for sure this year.

I generally believe that anyone who finds joy in the misfortune of others usually struggles to find reasons to be positive about their own lives.

Hopefully you find some respite one day. Marc on the other hand might be disappointed right now, but he has achieved far more in two and half decades on this planet than you could ever hope to in two and a half lifetimes.

Congrats to Alex, Vale and Jack. Great performances all round by the podium finishers.

This is all the boppers have left. With the two fastest guys out of the picture and gifted the lead, Rossi somehow found a way to let a guy get his first win on a bike that hasn’t won in 2.5 years. Such a clutch performer.

So they mention the guy who has won 5 of the last 6 titles almost as much as the guy who last won a title in 2009 ?. Rather petty as far as grounds for complaint go.

I have no problem with how Rossi is comporting himself this year, just racing without the off track manipulation. His talent has never been in doubt, and at age 40 he is riding amazingly well, and he clearly still has it over many opponents who are decades younger.

I remain unimpressed with a certain element among his fans just as you do.

I'm still laughing ... Marquez so desperately wants to beat Rossi's long long long list of records ... key being desperate.

I laugh at Marquez's failures because he's not a sportsman, he's never been a sportsman in his entire career ... he simply doesn't have a personality that one can appreciate and hence no respect from me. Your are correct, people shouldn't laugh at one's failures and I agree, but Marquez gave that up by not being a sportsman.

Marquez fell because his shoulder was once again not able to manage the bike and his riding style at a physically demanding track like COTA or as Marquez spins it "hard to understand". His shoulder has become more and more of a problem and he's doing his best to mask it. I can imagine it's incredibly frustrating for him but have zero sympathy for him.

Respect is earned not "won". I have more respect for the riders that take a POS bike and finish 10th, than I do for Marquez.

As far as Rossi, that was a race he should have known how to win, he made some key mistakes that lost him valuable time ... given that Rossi got the fastest race lap it's clear he had what was need to win, just didn't apply it at the correct time and point on track.

Irony can be quite ironic.

The only aspects of bike racing in regard to which Rossi exceeds Marquez is in off track manipulation and in having a far greater number of mindless fans, which aids him in said manipulation. He seems to be concentrating on the racing this year and credit to him for that as I have said, but that certain element among his fandom obviously persists. I hardly see that the lack of fatwas declared on competitors off track by MM diminishes him as a rider or sportsman, rather the reverse.

Being happy when MM succeeds rather than when he fails affords rather more opportunities for happiness/laughter btw, and the chagrin of those such as you makes his success all the more enjoyable.

Nice post. Or 'Don't be an ...... fan.' The Rossi fans cheered when Marquez crashed. It was disgusting. We have covered this issue about the yellow horde previously. Here is a pic of the 2nd place guy. I sold all my MM crash photos. Sorry. Note how CC has pulled out because he made a mistake and was off pace. This was qualifying.
