Hi guys,

As you all know, the site dev team is currently busy with putting up the new rocking site: new looks, new options, new content, etc

One of the things that we are working on right now is the rider's profile. However, we don't want the profile to be "just another profile" that people get to see in so many sites. As such, we are asking help from you guys with this one.

So here's what we're going to do. We'll be starting with Chris V.

Put in all the info you know about him, except for the demographics (birthday, hometown, etc). We are particularly looking for info re: family background, hobbies and stuffs that keeps him busy during off-season, and things like that. Also, we would appreciate it if you put your opinion about that rider (as a spostsman, as a person, and about his riding style), and also include your predictions for that rider in the upcoming season, and for his future in motogp in general.

Afterwards, we'll do the same thing to the other riders.

Thanks a lot for all your help guys. Your input will be very much appreciated.

Well theres decent interview with him here which i think i already gave to you jane... umm

RE: Off-season... pretty much Hot rods and training for the next round from anything i've read

theres a podcast available here which i am listening to now and can get some info out of which i'll post up later ... ITS A 24 MINUTE INTERVIEW!

RE: personal opinion ... haha asked the wrong person! ... Brilliant rider who is yet to reach his full potential. Probably chose a bad team to enter into Motogp with but a podium on a Suzuki in his rookie year is a pretty big feat. He seems like a decent, easygoing person, hard to hate him! and as for his riding style i think he is adapting pretty well, considering the gap of difference between a superbike and a MGP bike.

im not sick today Jane i can help!

This quote is good...
Q: How do you and your team mate John Hopkins get along?
A. Well, i haven't let him down in a race, so he hasn't kicked me yet...

Highlight of his career: Winning world supersport championship in 2003

Favourite thing to do in his time off: Spends alot of time training but favourite thing is playing around with his hot rods. Is a keen runner and surfs abit too. Runs about 50-60km a week.

Training includes a variety of exercise and sports, motocross, snowboarding, skiing, running, beach work, lifeguard training etc.

Biggest Inspiration: Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan -Rainey because of his style and how he grew up watching him and Doohan because he admires the way he came back from injury to take the world title.

hope this helps!

they probably do ... just haven't bothered to give it.

Opinions anyone?

Chris V is a good rider, only I can't understand why he had chosen suzuki as his team. ok, they are getting better and better (also for the bridgestones) but I expected more of chris V when I heard he came to the Motogp. he had won some wsb-races, and I realy had high expectations of him. he had some highlights last season, and so did suzuki ( John Hopkins on pole in assen etc). But chris V has yet to show if he can manage himself with the top riders in the motogp. But for the rest, well I don't know, he seems like a nice guy
<

I don't know much about chris V, as you see
<
that's why I don't have a good opinion about him! I'm sorry I can't help you out with this rider

similie was just for you Katt, I know how much you like it when we talk about CV's
<

As for CV, my opinion is mixed really. He had a great season in 05 in superbikes, but I dont think he made that much of an impression on me this year, with the exception of Laguna Seca (it was CV in third till his tyres went wasnt it!
<
). This is probably due to the fact that the suzuki hasnt been too hot, and when it rains his quality obviously shows through as power isnt so critical in the wet. I think I remember him taking Pole at Turkey, when it was wet - so thats quite impresive.

I think if Suzuki manage to get the 800 package right next year, and looking at the Sepang times they seem to be doing a good job, I think CV will have some good results.

It would be intresting to compare his results direct against Hoppers.

Oh, and he has a huge lucky
<
that is called Gertrude, that he rubs for good luck before each race.

he was coming first until it had a complication with the fuel tap or tube or something.... he was third at P.I.
