yeah Jamie Witham is the guy, thank god Witham's there to stop Jack Burnicle talking ...... I actually heard Witham talking about getting a spin on Haga's R1, was that a couple of weeks ago? Anyway does it bear any relevance to the situation we're talking about?
Relevance in the way that these guys need very spesific and different setups and different guys relay on different parts of the bike to work 100%.If it doesn't he's out of the zone.

I think that's what Hayden and Capirossi are experiencing. Som parts they depend on doesn't work perfect, so they can never have the bike setup the way they want.

It is quite funny though, that we can sit here, dissecting the mental/technical aspect of motogp and take ourselves almost seriously.

Of course we are serious. Are you implying anything else?

I think the main reason that Hayden is doings so badly this year is that he took a lot out of himself mentally last year. I don't think I would ever put him in the top three or four riders in Motogp at any time but last year he managed to get a lead and he held onto it most of the way. Rossi put him under a lot of pressure but he kept putting in performances, which, whilst not earth shattering, kept putting points on the board. He doesn't appear to have the same drive as last year - if only he would show the same passion he did as when Dani knocked him off. Truly great champions like Rossi are able to go through that pressure and then return the next year and the next for more of the same with the same intensity.

So, yeah, competing in motorbike racing at the highest levels is basically all in the head.

He's got to give himself a serious shake-up. He should fire his sports psychologist whoever he is
