Red Bull Rookies Cup 2007?

Hey All

Just wanted to know whether the Red Bull Rookies Cup will be held again this year, like it was late 2006 and to present day. I was planning to go to the 2006 Cup but having no experience on road bikes I thought not to. I'm planning to go to it this year no matter what the experience, but I could do with knowing ASAP so I can find myself a nifty Mini Moto or Pit Bike to start practacing on. Orrmate I know you were thinking of doing it last year, are you up for it this year?

Definetely mate. I've started saving so I should have the funds this time. It was a bit stupid how they arranged it last time, because they told you you'd been accepted two weeks before the test in Spain

It aint easy to get the money for flights, accomodation and transport in that amount of time. Someone at Red Bull needs to realise this.

Worst thing is that they told everyone about it like a month before the selections! That's terrible! Well you never know, my paper round money might prove fatal after all.

Do you ride/race any sort of bike Tom?

Not at the minute I aint got the money or parental support but when I finish college I'm starting in the CB500's. What about you?

Same, dad doesn't want me to ride bikes on the road even when i'm older (after bad experiences he's had in the past).
However, if I don't get anywhere with motocross by then, I'll buy a road bike and start road racing. Hopefulyl i'll get somewhere in mx though instead.

Are you aiming for a career in mx rather than road racing?

Well if I were to have one i'd rather have a road racing career but I accept that my dad doesn't want me to start it (yet), so i'll stick with motocross for now. That's cool with me. Are your parents letting you do it or are you having to stand your ground?

Not letting me, but im moving out when in a couple of years, then it'll be nowt to do with them. They can either choose to support me or have nothing to do with it.
