Its the hardest off road event in the world by miles ! You should check it out rather than me explain it to you.
The man who will win it David Knight lives here on my Island and I shall be clashing bars with him at our boxing day enduro.
Looking forward to it already

Ahh... I think I remember watching something about this on tv. It's where a heap of riders all from different disciplines come together to ride some crazy terrain.
I think show was about Travis Pastrana (sp?), he was riding in it with some of his mates.
It looked awesome.....

Everything is Bigger in Texas.

It is a good race.

It is a 40 mile loop that is similar to the World Enduro Championship races. You trail ride, you have the occasional motorcross style jump, and once lap one is complete for all the riders who have finished (and many do not), you go the opposite direction, usually in the dark.

David Knight won that event, 1 hour 30 mins ahead of the next and last rider to finish.

He also won this one by a 1 hour and somthing, only two riders finished.

I watched it last year.
I would ride almost anytime anywhere but I would probabaly decline the opportunity to run that.
It seems most guys spend more time carrying and picking up their bikes than riding it.
David Knight is truly amazing.
He was so fast they had to change the rules so every other rider wasn't eliminated.
If you were 1 hour behind the leader after the 1st lap you were DQ'd.
He was more than an hour over just about everyone so they extended the time frame.
Las year it was tape delayed a few months before I saw it and it was kinda sad because they had footage of that South African kid who died
in the Paris Dakar rally.

Any deaths in any motosports event is truly sad...
