R.I.P Carroll Shelby

Not just the US L8B - admired here in Oz very very much in the Ford fraternity and I'm sure other parts of the world.

Infact one of my employees is in the Mustang club here and the club has attended many functions/cruise's etc to Vegas over many years.

I caught up with the MAN many times at SEMA and visited the Museum at the Motor Speedway on a number of occasions.

Hence my avatar is an aussie Ford !

The LEGEND will live forever, RIP CS !

Dude...off topic, if we could buy the Falcon over here there would be one in my garage right now. Now I did have the competitor to the Falcon, the Commodore I think it's called there? Sold as a Pontiac G8 here. I had the GXP version which is pretty rare, and someone wanted it more than myself, I sold it and made a few dollars. Speaking of Mustangs, I've had many of those as well and will again one day.

Back on topic, Carroll Shelby put foot to ... for 50 years, and left behind one hell of a legacy!

haha you got some taste ! meaning buying our Falcon
<
(my sources advise quite a few are over at Ford HQ being poked at and tested)

We call the competitor here the Crapadore or Dunnydore > dunny is slang for toilet here FYI but I am not one eyed have driven many G8's and the 4door variant here edit tuned etc the chev does kick butt pity you guys over there didn't warm up enough to our version of the icon model but thats life.

At least she had a IRS rear end and thats why I can't place myself into a late model Stang, live axle is too old school but it works for the 1/4 mile fraternity thats so strong over your side hence probably never to happen.

The latest Falcon GT has the quad cam 5.0l supercharged and its an absolute street weapon considering one soon.

Your last sentence is spot on !

Aw man! I missed this! RIP Mr.Shelby! You are on the highest ter in the auto world heavens!

I always admired how he wasn't stuck on fords....though that is what I think of when I see or hear his name.
