Question: MotoGP Rankings

First: In case somebody already posted this somewhere - feel free to send me into that direction and delete this post.

So, my question: Does anybody know where I can find old pre-season rankings of riders? I was looking at the official site and also searching Google quite a bit, but I have no idea if these rankings are even openly available.
What I mean are the riders-rankings compiled by DORNA (I suppose) before the season starts, predicting how likely it is for this or that rider to do well in the season, based on the last one. Everybody know what I'm talking about?
It would be great if somebody could help me out. Thanks a bunch.

Have you tried wikipedia? That usually has information like this, although what your looking for doesn't seem like info thats archived much.

dude, would the riders not be ranked as how they finished the championship the previous season?
for example at the start of this season hayden would have been ranked first and rossi second etc.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, DORNA does not make a prediction of expected results before the season starts.

I guess the most similar thing to that is to take a look at an international betting site, and look for the odds of the championship winner, that will give you an idea of what is expected to happen.

just because hayden was world champ doesn't mean he would be ranked number 1 with only 2 race wins.

i have no idea, theres no official ranking system.

Thats about the most real/serious predictions you can find ..... "money counts" so people get serious. I know they do it for races but the championship??? not sure .... if you can bet on it then rankings/odds will be given.

Betting agencies odds change so you may have to analyse them .... maybe you could start up a website showing this ... would be handy.
