Question for Krop?

Krop, good to hear that Lorenzo was looking the goods in Sepang but wast here any rider/s that clearly needed the physical work to be done (no need to answer if controversial, a yes/no will be sufficient :) )?

Jack Miller. The word fat was being bandied about at Sepang 1. He didn't quite realize just how much like hard work MotoGP is, and I think he was fed up of starving himself for Moto3. Put on 8kg over the winter. Petrucci lost 9kg.

Eating disorders are disturbingly common in the paddock. There's a story there I need to write.

To his credit, Miller has picked up the ball, and been working hard to get in shape.

As for the tires, good question, and not one I can easily answer, or get answers too. As a rule, Bridgestone's QC is outstanding, especially when you compare it with Pirelli's in WSBK. But the riders have been complaining of the odd tire being bad. One a weekend, is the number being bandied about. Tires going on tire warmers, being taken off, thrown in the back of a truck, then taken out again and warmed up again.

In the last year or so there's been, in my estimation, a real change in Rossi's behavior and demeanor toward his fellow competitors. Rossi's jabs and mental maneuvers in past years are legendary. Now he seems genuinely open to having reasonable relationships with not only his teammate but his direct competition for the championship. Has there been a change in what you've seen in the paddock?

Why all the friendliness and is it genuine? When and why the change?

LeviG, watch today's press conference of Mugello, a reporter asked Rossi and Lorenzo almost exact question you're asking here. Watch it to see their answer.

Question for Kropo (or anyone else for that matter):

Regarding Pedro: He look pretty good at Mugello until that last couple of laps fade (which may have been do to resignation rather than tires or arm fatigue). The front tire "did not fail him" ( as Crutcheslow put it, distancing himself from culpability) which seems Pedrosa was able to stay upright on his RCV. My question, what was Pedro's excuse for crashing out of Le Mans? As i recall it was quite early, so I don't know if tire were to blame (or some development problem with the RCV as Marquez has now presented)? But I'd be interested to know and compare MurderMac's complaining about the RCV's issues (engine character, among other things) to Pedro. I guess we can determine some insight? I don't know, they are so different. Pedro is cautious and MurderMac is a landmine with a feather trigger.

Because Carmelo made sure Pedrosa got better tires than Marquez, to keep the championship exciting, and give Rossi a better chance of winning. Obviously.

Sheesh, Jum, you're pretty slow these days.

Well this very scenario happened by serendipity in Estoril 2006. (Do you deny it?) Ah the irony.

So Krops, whats going on with Brno, are they going to run the race or what? What do your insider sources tell you?

2006? Was that back when there was tire competition? Before the spec tire, assigned at random? I can't remember, and as you are the brains of the operation, perhaps you can remind me?

You tell me, you're the MotoGP guru.

Well, lets not lose sight of the fact your response was a sook to my question about Pedro's complaints versus Marquez's complaints, in trying to suss out some if any insight (and as I already qualified it, perhaps an over ambitious hope to ascertain something as they are both so different).

Your reply was to dismiss the question entirely and get cute about some riders getting better tires mocking the conspiracy of it; but in FACT this has happened before, that is: some riders getting better tires than others, FACT. Or are you planing on revising the Saturday Night Special tire? Now you want to defend and debate your sook reply (a tangent at best, chickenshit at worst) by saying well this happened when there was a tire competition, so...it was ok back then?

Well, ok, I'm your huckleberry; lets debate that then.

There was NOT a tire competition WITHIN Michelin. So for some riders to get the good stuff while others got .... had zero to do with your now untenable position that it had to do with a tire competition between tire manufactures. If this were a war, then why are some soldiers getting pea shooters while others getting cannons who are on the same SAME SIDE? That doesn't make sense, now does it? And before you attempt at saying there were limited resources, let me just call ........ on it now. But I'll tell you what it DOES do, it makes the guys with the cannons look like superheroes. (And for one brief moment in GP history, Toni Elias looked like a superhero, even among his Michelin soldiers.)

Now look at what you've done. You have tried to advance and defend a sook reply of yours by adding this was before the advent of a spec tire randomly assigned. Hardly relevant in an era where as you said there was a tire competition. That would only be relevant if it were happening today. And who the hell is saying some riders are getting better tires than others? They are supposedly getting all the same tires (though you said some are so bad they are thrown back). What I have said is that the new tire (which everyone gets) is working for Valentino but is causing Marquez issues.

You tell me, you're the MotoGP guru.

Oh Krops, I didn't take you for a sook. You can answer this question without fear of me debating you. Hahaha. Is the BrnoGP on or not? Does anybody know? But anyway, I hope Brno stays on board. There was supposed to be a decision about it this week if I recall. But as you said, I have forgot more about GP than you'll ever know. Anyway, the pretties girls of any GP venue can be seen at Brno as I am told. So I hate to see it go.

Have you tried thinking before you post? Speaking of tangents, that one is way off out into space. It really does have .... all to do with my reply.

And actually, because I didn't read your original post properly, I should have said "Because Carmelo gave bad tires to all the Hondas to make the championship exciting".

Then again, I never read your posts properly, because I can't get past the 23rd facepalm.

This is how I picture you eagerly awaiting juNkies next educational post...

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Jorge has been putting a lot of pics on twitter hanging out with his "good friend" Max Biaggi. Perhaps a little bit of psychological warfare on his part?

If Biaggi shows up in his side of the garage, we can definitely say this means war.

Why would it be war?

If you're VR, it's hard to get bent out of shape over your teammate cavorting with a has-been who didn't have the necessary mental and testicular fortitude to win a championship.

If anything, you'd be hoping Biaggi's shortcomings rub-off on JLO.

Somehow I doubt they would let max in the garage with the amount of sit he talked about Yamaha before he left. Even if he did, what would he say, "hey remember me, the guy who said Yamaha's were rubbish, until Welkom when you showed me otherwise, and annihilated me as a racer and a person."

Yeah but by that argument he wouldn't be allowed in basically ANY manufacturer team in the paddock! Didn't he call them all ......s at one point or another? I'll never forget his famous Honda interview.
