I think it ran out of money...sadly. Twisty but looked a fun layout.

I think 22 races is a bit too much.
Kazakhstan is gonna be at Hungary anyway so I welcome the addition of a new European track to the schedule.
India wasn't bad at all so I don't mind that race coming back.
Don't think the teams are too happy with two consecutive tripleheaders late in the season.

While agreeing with you MotoGP is a commercial concern and it appears that more races = greater commercial success

Thats normal on the asian fly aways. The logistics of waiting a week and flying all the equipment back to euro isn't worth it. This is how they do it. Just like how Argentina and Texas are always back to back.

That's the way they're thinking and it's also the way many other racing series are thinking. It's just too much to keep up with at some point. I'm sure I'm not the only MotoGP fan who follows more than one racing series. It's just too much racing to follow if they all run almost every weekend.

There's been a tripleheader late in the season ever since I started watching but two consecutive ones were new for this year. Unlike F1 teams, most MotoGP teams don't have the personnel and the budget that they can rotate staff for these flyaway races.
I don't wanna complain too much though. MotoGP is at least racing in the far east where they have an actual fan base and not doing four races in front of empty stands in the middle east.

Right but the addition of India made it happen

Dorna is running WSBK at Balaton Park in 2024 and the circuit will be in reserve for MotoGP for the same season. Hungaroring will be on the calendar in 2025 if Dorna's plan comes to fruiti
The Hungaroring part surprises me a lot. I thought the Balaton Park was build with the intention of permanently hosting MotoGP.

Cheers for posting the first look at the 2024 MotoGP calendar! As a fan, I've been itching for next season's schedule. This definitely helps pass the long winter break.

At first glance, the 2024 calendar follows a familiar rhythm with the classic European run intact. No big shakeups which is nice for continuity.

India's return should be interesting though. That course always brought challenges for the riders. And Germany getting a new circuit is big - the Lausitzring looks like a unique addition.

I'm sure plenty will change between now and the final calendar. But this early peek gets the speculation juices flowing! Appreciate you sharing it. Now just gotta survive the coming months until Qatar 2024 kicks off the next championship chase. Let the countdown begin!
