Do we have enough interested here to support a "predictions" thread like we do with MotoGP? board

Who will win PI? (A little late but we have the benefit of the first day's lap times to may guestimates).

My picks:

1. Haga
2. Haslam
3. Fabrizio

BTW, here are the results of Crash.net's poll that asked:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Who will win the 2010 World Superbike Championship?

1st – Noriyuki Haga (Ducati Xerox) 31%
2nd - Jonathan Rea (Ten Kate Honda) 24%
3rd - Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia) 12%
4th - Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) 9%
5th - Leon Haslam (Suzuki Alstare) 7%
6th - James Toseland (Yamaha Sterilgarda) 6%
7th - Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha Sterilgarda) 4%
8th - Shane Byrne (Althea Ducati) 3%
9th - Other 1%
10th - Leon Camier (Aprilia Alitalia) 1%
11th - Carlos Checa (Althea Ducati) 1%
12th - Max Neukirchner (Ten Kate Honda) 1%

#1 Fabrizio
#2 Haga
#3 Biaggi
#4 Haslam
#5 Rea

At this point, any guess is as good as the next as far as this weekend. On paper, it looks like 5-6 guys could win it all [championship], or it will be Haga in a romp. If Haga doubles at PI,its going to be a long season

All Italian podium (both rider and brand); interesting you put Fabi over Haga. I suppose its a toss up, eh. Biaggi on the podium over Haslam? I actually have Haslam for the win but given that the 1200s are 4/5 top 5, I tipped it to a Ducati rider.

So you think Checa's provisional pole an anomaly? You don't even have him on top 5.

Ducati track first race of the yr.

Haga
Haslam
Babyiaggi
Checa

I think its going to be

Haga
Fabrizio
Checa

Haslem is my wild card. I still think that experience will have a big say in who can actually bring it home. Haga, cool as ice, Fabrizio with 2, 3 mistakes that cost him the win. If Haslem can keep it together mentally the whole race he could be there. Has Byrne recovered from his crash. I think he could show a top 5 with Rea. Has Biaggi overcome his chatter problems? I hope it's close, whoever is up there.

Funny, no one is mentioning the Yamahas which were supposedly the best bike on the grid

Huh! Hagarazi

Race 1:
1. Fabrizio
2. Biaggi
3. Haslam

The real riders are just feeling things out. Fabrizio charges like the Don Quixote he is. In this case, the strategy works and no one can quite reel him in. Haga finishes a distant 4th with Checa in tow.

Race 2:
1. Haga
2. Haslam
3. Biaggi

Fabrizio wants his first double. He breaks from the start but finds he can't shake the crowd. He crashes. Haslam and Biaggi are glued to one another again.

Rea struggles to stay in the top 5. Checa collects a 4th and 5th. The Yamaha duo struggle to finish in the top 10. Panic starts to set in at Yamaha Italia.

Race One:

1. Fabrizio
2. Byrne
3. Checa

Race Two:
1. Fabrizio
2. Haslam
3. Haga

I predict an unpredictable season.

race 1
1. haga
2. rea
3. haslam
4. crutchlow
5. fabio

race 2
1. rea
2. haga
3. crutchlow
4. fabio
5. haslam

rlh to get lapped......
