hayden is running a new fairing to push the air around his bigger than pedrosa shoulders... in the pics, there is still a big fat #1 on it so i am assuming that stoner is still using 27...

of course, they are not allowed to change plates those numbers are registered for the season.

according to:
http://www.coastalwatch.com/camera/cameras...=4650&state=VIC

It'd be good to be there but .... that place gets cold..........

No it wouldn't ... I see more on my TV and I stay dry and warm on my couch

Sure "the atmosphere of the races" is one thing but with PI theres just too much "atmosphere" in ya face

What are the odds - Stoner and Capirossi doing exact same lape times - a 134.194 on lap 17 each? Oh and Stoner was clocked at 320 and Capirex at 312!!
<

Well gee ... I was worried that now that Stoner had won the chmp'ship he would cruise... he sure isn't cruising!!! glad I was so wrong in being doubtful of him. He just seems to be wanting to dominate the whole weekend. Hopefully it'll be another Laguna for him ... should be entertaining since he's going for it.

Its that Tamworth air LOL after the last break at home he came out and dominated too .... seems Chaz stayed with him too so maybe he got a bit of Tamworth air too ... he's doing good for a guy on his second motogp ride!!

Stoner's looking pretty unstoppable right now isn't he? He must be getting good drive out of those corners - so quick down the straight!! Good work by de Puniet as well. Hopefully he will keep it upright and seems to be good in these conditions.

yeah he has been good .... must be the French breeding .... they have been through the odd bit of "tumult" over the past few centuries .... probably perfectly genetically conditioned for Phillip Island

Nice lap from pedders and rossi... Other boys didnt show much heart at the end but def they have better race pace. be a fun race tomorrow.. lets hope it doesnt rain.

I heard an interesting statistic from the commentary team here in Australia during qualifying;

Apparently Jerry Burgess made mention that since he and #46 left Repsol Honda, the Repsol Honda team have only won 6 GPs in that time (almost 4 years)!

Stoner is damn fast on race tyres, really quick, alot quicker than the others anyway.. Good quali laps from Pedders and Rossi but still unsure about their race pace..

Westy was in the top five on race tyres, just struggled with his qualy rubber, both Kwaks should be strong for the race with DePuniet looking damn quick on qualy tyres, as usual.. Suzook = wtf? Hope the race is dry, bring it on
<

Davies is about where its to be expected but im sure he'll hope for a better race..

eeeeer wat u expect with hayden there, hayden never won anything there when he was there anyway

That's not surprising....but it is down to engineering and not all down to the pilots!

That aside...
- Dani, Vale, Casey and especially Loris are looking to be tops for tomorrow consistently in 1:31s on race set up...

- Nicky qualified nicely, but his race set up does not seem to be there yet...based on the Analysis tables from the 4 sessions he's still about .5 to a second off the leaders race pace....He just has to hope for a good start and try to keep up with Dani, Loris, Vale and Casey

- Guintoli did well considering the tyres and bike!

- Westy did a brilliant job to get in top 10 above Edwards, Melandri, Checa, Hopper, CV and Elias....Good Luck tomorrow...get a good start and he shoudl be top 8 or 6...

RDP continues to impress....shame he makes so many mistakes...like signing for LCR Honda in 2008.

By there I take you mean PI...and not HRC Repsol...3 of the 6 wins since Burgess/Rossi left are down to Nicky, and the other 3 are Dani's....

I think it's mighty ungrateful of you to diss the team that put Stoner in the premier class.

I think it is a mistake because they are so so far down the HRC pecking order so are not at the same level of competetiveness as the Kawasaki Bridgestone combination. If LCR gets Bridgestone then it would be less bad move for him. I can see you point though
