Poor Rossi, he's clearly lost it!
First the crash, then the cowardly dawdling to avoid further humiation.

(Seriously, he did look a little dazed after the fall. I'm glad he didn't go out and get hurt.)

Stoner P1

Hayden P3

In the post qualifying interview Casey said that the tyres (Bridgestoners) are not working in the cold conditions, however as it gets warmer the tyres are better. Hotter means him and Rossi (and who gives a .... what Dani does) can run harder compounds for the race.

Nicki was laying big black lines in qualifying, so was Stoner. Rossi has the race pace though - Rossi should have dumped his bike as soon as he was off track rather than getting into the trap that fast and getting spat, no one can steer off the grass, it is still wet from the morning rain and as slippery as a butcher’s tool.

Dani looked sort of lost and I wonder what Puig is thinking? They had a camera shot of him giving Dani the talk and I don’t think that Bridgestone thing is working that well for them. I mean, Casey won his first race and championship on the tyres, Rossi won back his championship on the tyres and Dani must be wondering now what will happen to him? He may have just manoeuvred this series into a single tyre rule (the arsehole) and he just has to wonder what dumping Michelin has done.

The forecast for tomorrow is warmer and little likelihood of rain so it will be a Bridgestone race.

Go Casey, Go Nick

What speed was he doing at that moment?

They were 2007 tyres, totally different from what they are allowed to run this year, pay more attention to Lex

I know the guys are fishing, but lets be a little bit realistic. Rossi will get held up for the first few laps and will be very very lucky to get a podium

Its a race between Stoner and Lorenzo, but I'm feeling Stoner will run away with it

Either way I can't wait, as always P.I. is going to be a blast

Remember Assen 2007? Or at least Catalunya 2008?
<
At least I hope will get a podium. He has a good race pace too.

Yes I remember, but the other guys are so strong druing the past sessions that I think it will be one of Valentinos tuffest races of all time.
I hope he wins and I'm sure he will have that mindset, but its hard to see how he will pull it off. Unless he can make up some super ground in the early laps, which is not his strongest stage of a race but even if he dose with the top 8 being strong its going to be hard. I hope he prove's me wrong

Casey looks to have good race pace too, but I still have strong doubts he can maintain such a pace for race distance, although he has said in the lead-up to the race that PI may not be as hard on his wrist as recent previous tracks. I think he can only win if he gets a big lead early and can ease off in the second half of the race, but valentino will be charging then, and it is not as if he hasn't won from a long way back at PI before.

It may come down to whether the michelins last.

I am not going this year, but will make strong efforts to get there in 2009.

I don't think I was making a 2007/2008 comparison. Lex actually predicted that Casey was going to run away with this and made it fit with his tyres theory. I think I was shooting off about Dani, who as the last straw broke the involvement of Michelins proverbial back.

I'm kinda pissed at the little sook.

1 Qualifying lap does not a Race make....so do watch out for Rossi to come from 12th to the front vry very quickly....and expect anyone not getting into the 1:30s consistently (more than 1 lap on Q tyre) during today practice and quickly to be in the way of the Rossi charge for the podium.

Jorge to Win it!

Don't worry about Rossi.
All those on the grid from 13 to last, have been instructed not to pass Rossi.
All those from 4 to 11 have been instructed to open a gap for Rossi to pass.
So there should still be a good battle amongst the top 3.

So, you imply it is the riders who can win or lose based on their own merits, luck and mistakes. This is inconsistent with your usual conspiracy theories where all outcomes are manipulated... You make it sound almost like MotoGP is a fair game after all!!!

I think it is.
