What a wild wkd that would be. I'm cringing a bit thinking of 40+ Moto2 bikes sailing into the corkscrew on lap 1.
 
A bigger question mark hangs over the plan, however. 2010 is the final year of the three-year contract which Dorna has with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and as yet, no news has emerged concerning Indy's intentions to continue the agreement. Although officials involved in the event have been extremely complimentary about the event, there is still no sign of a deal being finalized to extend the Indy GP. If the event at Indianapolis - or Laguna Seca, which has come under pressure from wealthy locals complaining about the noise from the circuit - is dropped from the MotoGP schedule, then the plan to host both classes at Laguna could be called off.



What kind of pulsating ....... moves next door to a world famous racetrack and then complains about the noise?

Unfortunately the world has a more than adequate sufficiency of such people . It has happened to several racetracks in Sydney I frequented in my youth, and from previous discussions has happened in plenty of other places in the world. Warwick Farm in Sydney where they had 2 week-ends of racing per year was closed due to similar complaints.

The same fuckwits who have moved into the premier (inner city) music district in the city I live in, and then complain about the noise. These fuckheads move in for the nightlife/atmosphere/food/ etc and then complain when people are having fun after 11pm. ....... morons - every one of them!!!
 
Castle Combe has the same problem. Even F3 cars are considered too loud. Formula ....... Three!
 
its the same thing with those people who move in close to airports. the houses are usually cheaper because of the location close to an airport or track so they move in and then complain and get things changed. so now they have their cheap house and no noise.

Yes same thing in QLD, one good track and several great proposed motorsport developments have been hit on the head for the same thing......Yet they race through the streets of Surfers Paradise with thousands in ear-shot.......one off's are easier to take-go figure.



It's high time the support classes joined in at Laguna, the rest of the world can manage to pull it off......
 
Having worked helping my AMA racer friend at Laguna this year,

I can't see moto2 and 125 coming over without extra paddocks.

AMA uses pop up tents, can't see that happening with Moto2 / 125.



Until more paddock garages are built in Laguna, Things aren't gonna change. IMO

Would the AMA allow the other GP classes in at Seca at the expense of the AMA championship? Thats a tough one I think.
