Too much people going nuts or even "cuckoo" during the break, so maybe thats the time for some history.


 


PS. It even starts about 8km from where I sit here, the headland in the south ( right ) in the background.  ( along the beach with the island in the background ) only we used our open class mx bike along there ...... what a hoot!!

Some good Daytona footage towards the end.  How come I had no idea who Gene Romero was??   Also some seriously funky 70's music going down!   Was this movie UK or Aus  produced?  It was new to me.
 
It was an Aus. production and was the biggest cash in on the "On any Sunday" phenom. here at the time. Sadly, and rightfully so, it was viewed as lame and a bit of a shameful representation of the Aus. racing scene at the time.


 


Even the narrator,  is perfect ..... he was and possibly still remains ...... the king of all bogans. :lol: :lol: :lol:


 


But hell, its fun to look back!!
