You can see the track worker desperately waving a strange black and yellow striped piece of cloth. Then he almost gets taken out!
Are the riders supposed to aim for the pretty colors?

While awesome wipe-out material, the video is several years old and, despite the video's title, has nothing to do the MotoGP. It was some flavor of SB; WSB, I think.

That was a WSS race and I remember watching it live at the time and my draw dropping that everyone walked away.
I remember seeing it live too - it was definitely WSS and I think it was either Kellner or Teuchert that nearly got decapitated, certainly one of the Yamaha Germany bikes if I remember right.

Yup I was there at Assen that year. Its was WSS of 2002. Didn't see the crash myself cause I was on another part of the track. Did see an enormous cloud of dust though
and race got red flagged right away
