Akitoshi is more than a second off the last position. Scary, hope he stays well out of the way and doesn’t get lapped on the last lap.

Hayden did well to qual in the top row. Surely he is still a thorn for Peders. But as Sacy said, Fani's launch control is the best on the grid (apparently HRC could only develop one of them), oh, and I suspect Bstones will make the difference. (Right Babel?) Level playing field--my ....

BTW:

1 48 Jorge LORENZO SPA Fiat Yamaha Team YAMAHA 1'45.543

6 65 Loris CAPIROSSI ITA Rizla Suzuki MotoGP SUZUKI 1'46.450

12 7 Chris VERMEULEN AUS Rizla Suzuki MotoGP SUZUKI 1'46.904

19 64 Kousuke AKIYOSHI JPN Rizla Suzuki MotoGP SUZUKI 1'48.671

Somebody remind me why Taka has a MotoGP seat and Ben Spies was not picked up? It must have been because Ben qualled on the Suzuki so far down the order... oh wait, he didn't. Uhm maybe its because Ben finished so far below his teammates in the race...oh wait, he didn't. Haha, lets see where this wild card rider finishes relative to his teammates on the same equipment. Anybody still want to make a case why Spies is do UN-DESERVING? (Tom, Babel, Crazy?)

Haha, yeah, let the spin begin.

Hayden was barely off of pole before his tire fell apart in sector 4. He was .4 off as a result. He needed the rubber he scrubbed off running into the back of West.

I'm not saying West ruined his weekend, but I think he could have had a run at pole if he hadn't gotten in to the back of West. It would have been fun to see him stick it to Pedrosa.

West must be working for Dorna on this one....surely you as the conspiracy nutter can see that...

Money dude....Spies was asking for more than Taka about 2million more and the only real potential honda team Spies was going to join is now leaving HRC and GPs....so no more hondas no more money no Spies in GPs....

You could always argue that Hopper could give up his seat for Ben!

Jumkie, for your information: Akiyoshi and Takahashi aren't the same person.

Anyway, pretty interesting qualy. I guess I'll have to wake up at 6.00 am to see the race.(Finnish time...) We could have a surprise winner.

Get your act together Junky. You are either falling appart or should lay off the drugs.

Haydens T4 were virtually identical to Lorenzo's, give or take a few thousands so as he said himslef they definatly lasted the whole lap.

Actually, you're right

As I remembered it Lorenzo posted poll position before Nicky's sector 3 but he didn't.

So Nicky was +.122 thru three then Lorenzo came thru at -.207 and then Nicky crossed at +.4 of Lorenzo's new pole.

You'd better enjoy it while you can.

You should know better than telling a rossi fan that Hayden was slow when he did the unexpected and kept the pace of pole sitter on the T4. I felt confident that Rossi's third were sequred but a big diapointment when it was lost and that isn't so quickly forgotten

All you have to do is see the race pace from the all sessions of the top 6 guys and you can pretty much work out which one are going to go backward fast....

And only Stoner and Jorge going into the 47s consistently...in fact Jorge will be flying tomorrow...

Jorge did indeed have a couple of very good stints, but you better check your sheets again because Rossi had more 47 laps than any in the qualifying session. I expect all three of them flying, hopefully in close formation

congrats to lorenzo, damn that boys fast.
rossis lap got wasted because he had to avoid de angelis's bike and hayden was lucky to get 2 laps out of his quali cos ant west got in the way but thats just the way it goes sometimes.
