No idea really Baz although when I first saw it I thought 250cc twin but the site has it labelled NSR500 so could be the V

They made a 4, triple and twin cyclinder 500. Not sure if they were all denoted as NSRs?
Didnt they occasionally run all configs too? Okada often switched from the twin to triple .... I think.

The twin was designated as an NSR500V as ridden by Westy and Okada (to name two).
But yep, I do recall them running the twin and fours and vaguely recall Okada racing both in a season (not sure if Sete did similar to be honest either)

Is hard to tell because of the way it was done but for me, it is Doohan's helmet, has a #1 on the bike so would I expect be the V4 as MD did not race the twin and nor did it ever display the #1 of which I am aware

Must be a triple then ..... and maybe they just naturally exploded.
