Hello guys

My name is DonFourie. That's like my real name, only shorter and with less spaces. I work for a motorcycle TV show and a website in South Africa called The Bike Show. I have raced motorcycles for 23 years, ridden them for 31 years and watched GP racing since slightly after I was born.

This should be fun.

Welcome. I only have two questions. Skin thick or thin? Favorite color yellow or other?

I have already found footage of you so answer wisely. Cool show.

Welcome. Looking forward to your opinions. There are some great threads here and a race this weekend, would like to read your input.

Thank you for the kind words.

I'm used to YouTube abuse by the truckload, so I'd say my skin has thickened adequately. You're welcome to try and wear it as a coat, but there will be a good deal of wastage, so you're probably be better off turning it into a two man tent or possibly a medium-sized marquee.

My favourite colour is yellow, red, blue, orange, a lighter blue, a darker shade of orange and whatever the hell the colours for Aprilia are.

Thank you. I'll try not to disappoint. I'm actual in England at the moment and am heading through to Silverstone tomorrow. I'll look out for all the threads.

Haha You will fit in nicely around here.

I've always wanted to reenact the horse scene from the revenant.

Welcome mate and enjoy the joint but as has been hinted, expect opinions to be spouted that may not be politically correct within the greater scheme of the motorcycling world.

The joint aint bad, but is what you can make of it so hang around and enjoy the community that exists ................ just do not mention Sepang 2015

Welcome, but please don't think the brits like Silverstone its a crap track (yes I have done about 30 trackdays there (not that I paid for them), its a bit like a soil based skittles layout and if it rains turns into a bog (swamp) ;)

PS Beware the aggressive drivers/bike riders who think they are either Hamilton or Marquez.

I like Silverstone - Preferred the original layout and Bridge, but I think it's world class facility and a great circuit. Standing water is a problem in the wet, but the same can be said about so many of the ex airfields in Blighty. Sick of this mythology surrounding Donington. The Melbourne loop - or as Lawson christened it, the car park section, butchered the racing. We've had some classic encounters at Silverstone in comparison since the move in 2010 from Doni.

Same can be said of Phillips Island regarding the standing water. Take T! for example.

Have you ridden round it in the wet? I've never had a dry time there, in fact I'd even go as far as to say I have less water in my fish pond than any of the shallow puddles that sliverstone on sea has
