Well of course there's the learning curve involved. They'll just need to put more effort into testing.

sure open pits every friday of every race would be great...if we could attend every race....
I'm talking live feed package off the GP site....will it be cheaper now? They basically knocked off a day of free practice....

Totally different thought process,i dont subscribe, so that never entered my mind.I can see where that would be a problem for those that do. I was thinking it would be a equitable trade off for fans that only get to go to one, maybe 2 races a year.I personally would give up a couple hours of track time to spend a day lingering near the bikes and hopefully the riders.Last year at Indy, you had to arrive Thursday for a chance to peek at the pits,or purchase an extremely high priced package.

I hate it when he does that. It always gives me hope that he's made some sort of breakthrough in set up and the next round he'll be riding with Valentino and Stoner. Nope, he literally just needs hundreds of laps to find the final third of a second.

In the article that BG translated (thanks BG), the author made mention of what purpose this serves as the only advantage is that teams now have one extra day of travel time but it really doesn't cut any cost, except to Bridgestone. Another slick move on Dorna's behalf. Announce a spec tire rule without doing any research as to what rider demands will be in reference to the supplier's availability of tires and then cover it up by eradicating Friday practice but announce that it's in the name of cost cutting. Just like the 800s were in the name of safety.

Lorenzo and Hayden already look to be on the back foot, this is the last thing they need. But hey, so long as Valentino, Pedrosa and Stoner can share victories, Dorna are happy as clams.

Everyday I'm more impressed with the direction GP is going. Really, amazing stuff happening these days.

Ezy and the MSMA should pat themselves on the back. Several years ago, GP used to be the purest and most exciting of all motorsports. Now, DORNA is canceling practice sessions, imposing rev limits, and controlling the tires.

How does Ezy still have a job?

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong but to the best of my knowledge Dorna is owned by it's management ie I would assume that Ezpeleta is not an employee but someone with a direct financial interest.
Therefore, in a nutshell, he still has a job because people still want to watch Motogp and are willing to pay gate money and tv rights in order to do so.

That is pretty much it in a nutshell....so no matter how much don't like the job he does, you stil watch the broadcasts or go to racea or buy the Dorna services/products so he is still doing okay...
