Attack Performance is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Cycle World magazine, Yoshimura Racing and American Suzuki to build a GSX-R1000-based project bike for returning fan-favorite Eric Bostrom to compete in select rounds of the AMA Pro National Guard American SuperBike series.

The effort will kick off July 23-25 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix weekend. Follow-on appearances are scheduled for August 13-15 at Virginia International Raceway and September 24-26 at Barber Motorsports Park.

Attack's brand-new Tuning Center in Huntington Beach, California, will equip the project GSX-R with its billet adjustable-offset triple-clamps, clip-on handlebars, adjustable foot controls, lift mounts, RaceBodies composite-fiberglass bodywork and other specialized technology. Brembo, Dunlop, Ohlins USA and Marchesini will further support the effort, along with long-time Attack Racing sponsors LeoVince USA, Maxima Racing Oils and EK Chains.

Bostrom, 33, is a four-time AMA national champion. He has won 15 AMA Superbike races and twice finished second in the series. "I can't tell you how excited I am to be involved with this project," he said. "It's a fantastic opportunity all the way around. I am thrilled to be getting back on the racetrack, as well as reconnecting with the fans and racing culture. Most importantly, the end result will make a contribution for a great cause - the Joseph C. Parkhurst Education Fund to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's scholarship program for brain tumor survivors."

Ben was talking about how he wanted Eric to ride a Yamaha, but Eric had such a bad experience during 2007 and 2008 that he refused to ride an R1. I hope he fairs well on a GSXR.

Good news. Eric is one of my all time fav AMA riders. Laguna will be madness!
