Wow, I can't wait to hear those beasts whizzing around a track.

"On a motorcycle, torque is a visceral feeling"

Yeah, so is shifting. I hope electric bikes never become more than city run-abouts. Controlling tens of thousands of explosions per minute is half the fun.

YAY!!!! zero torque curve >.<

my 8-year-old cousin drives an electric bike...

hippies ride bikes?

You'd be surprised Slide...I love San Fran, but the people there make me want to invent a new plague.

If you close your eye this is what they sound like going round track

nice find, curve

If you don't like the look of a bike you can always chop it, But this doesn't sound so bad does it?

"High Performance Electric Motor
Mission motorcycles' induction motor provides over 100 foot-pounds of torque. Unlike an engine, however, the torque curve on our electric is completely flat. The rider feels 100 foot-pounds of torque at a standstill, at 60 mph, and everywhere in between. Gasoline motorcycle require multiple gears in order to provide power at different speeds. The torque curve on our electric motor means that a Mission motorcycle can achieve gasoline sportbike performance with no gears. And all that power comes in a package about the size of a soccer ball."

Sounds great to those who haven't ridden a motorcycle, but to those who have, it sounds like a glorified scooter.

Well, you can laugh at this all you want, but sorry, it's the future. As for wanting a company like this to go bust - one of the stupider comments around here - you don't have to ride the ...... thing.
Lots of people don't seem to want to face the reality of PEAK OIL. Deny it all you want, but its happening.

The Revelator has Spoken! All who deny the future of motorcycles shall be cast into the fires of Hell!!!

You'd own the twisties.
I hope they race this bike at the green IOM GP. It's pretty ugly, but I guess the point is to make it look like a futuristic motorcycle. Plus the fact that you tune it at home on a computer is awesome. That and all the ride data, would really show you how to get more out of the bike. Did they say how much it costs? I know it'd be pretty expensive but this technology will always be costly until you can start mass producing it.

Son, you're stuck in the 20th century. In the 21st century oil is a renewable resource. And if renewable petroleum works out, I'm confident CO2 will be a VALUABLE commodity. We won't have to terrorize people with life in a cage. They will harvest their own CO2 and profit from it.

Peak oil is a thing of the past.

Contagion effect is my friend. OMG renewable oil will succeed tomorrow. We're all gonna be rich. Filthy stinking rich!!!

It's a risky market, but it's a buyer's market. Go long then bail out before the market gets saturated.
