I'm happy to see the KR project terminated, the bikes were never competitive and ruined the career of KRJnr who was a world champion on the Suzuki before he changed teams and rode the uncompetitive KR machine. I think the KR team had a good go but just couldn't get a competitive bike with limited funding and development etc..

Not so sure I'd like to see Aprilia back either until they can actually justify their existence. Their prior MotoGP experiment in the premier class was a disaster and they seemed to go from bad to worse. Any rider unfortunate enough to ride an Aprilia in the top class is commiting career suicide! It'll be a frustrating development phase and poor season for them to say the least.

Written off before they even draw the bike. Nice. There's no way an Italian manufacturer could compete with the Japs is there.

I would have loved to see a ducati engine in a KR chassis. I am not sure ducati were or would be keen on this given how their chassis looks at the moment.

So true, any Italian attempt would be to to small, having to little resources, and especially that would show in the engine department. They would never get enough drivable power out a lump.

he won on the 500 suzuki, then went backwards on the suzuki 990. towards the end of the kr990 krjr was quite often up the sharp end nearly winning in estoril 06, no mean feat for a small private team. so you talking bollocks.

Kenny Jnr. failed because he didn't do the things needed to remain competitive. He got old and fat and did nothing to counteract those things on his career.

Good news to go with Tech 3 resigning with Yamaha throught 2010, and Toseland agreeing to remain possibly in 09.

I hope Aspar pick a Suzuki over Yamaha. 2 bikes would be great as well.

BMW was so far was having rumors that they signed Rossi as well. I say pictures of a bike that was called the BMW MotoGP racer. Might be like the Moto Cysz deal here in the US. They built and developed a bike with a 990cc engine, and when the rules changed down to 800cc they decided against keeping with the program.

As far as i know BMW have a WSBK going at the moment, but haven't heard about motogp. KTM are going the same way as are Aprilia. Could this be a case of wanting to compete but finding motogp too expensive?

if there intention is to build homoligated road bikes wsb is more viable than motogp. if development is your goal than motogp is the place to go. my point is, what are bww aprillia ect looking for.
