I'm seriosly considering returning to racing next year and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them.

Are they really as small as they look? I'm 5'8.

How are they servicing wise? Is it impossible to reach the plugs without a trained Moto Gp crew on-hand?

And finally... How good are they?

By 08 this model will be in its 3rd year. Parts supply should be good, and service or what to watch should be plentiful. The only problem I've heard is tuning the suspension. The bike is ultra sensitive!

Seat height is one of the highest out of the 600's i have sat one. Never ridden one so thats all i can say about it.

I'm 5'7, bought a GSX-R 750 cos the R6 was too tall. Couldn't get on it safely. All the 600's I tried were the same but the 750 was shorter ! Go figure .

I've been on a thousand for a couple of years now and used an 06 R6 for my first track day. I've read plenty about them but I was surprised how hard you had to work the engine to get the power out of it. As you're probably aware it's a very high revving road bike. I'm 6'1" and it felt a little small but not uncomfortable and it was agile.

I just got a new cbr 600 07 and if you want immediate power similar to a 1000 go with that. it is the lightest and one of the shortest. Im 6 ft and need to get new rearsets for my racing because they are too high up. I cannot tuck and move my feet around on the straights. But overall it is the best 600. The only otehr new 600 I have ridden is the 07 gsxr 600 and I can tell my cbr has more immediate power. I can pull on some of the 750s on the straights.
