Before you read you must know by now I was rooting for Rossi and never really thought much of Hayden. Some of you may have seen me hating on him last season and during the pre-season. Ooost can be the main witness since he is the one that saw me leading Anti-hayden rants on the Hopper forum. He is the one that brought me to this site over a year ago. August 5, 2005 to be exact.

If you look at these posts the past few days I have not posted anything about the Valencia race's results.

Hayden is the champ, and I being a huge Rossi fan have now just accepted the fact. I do not take anything away from Hayden. There are many "what ifs" but they are not reality, they are hypothetical.

Hayden won the championship....

Once again, this season threw a surprise at us. And a good one (or bad one, depends on your point of view) for that matter.

It has made me and others realize Hayden is a real deal. He deserved the champioship because he did what was necessary. He scored points and won a couple of races. He did what was necessary when it was needed to do what was necessary.

He was no Rossi taking a win when he needed to finish lower. He finished where it was necessary for him to finish and by doing that he won a championship.

Congratulations to Nicky Hayden. It earns my respect and others respect as a champion and has started a spark that may turn into fanboy fanaticism and he may become one of my favorites.

Congratulations Nicky, you deserve it!

But for now, Hopper!!

Wow...I'm impressed.

It's good that some people can see things clearly.
That last race really proved that he did what he needed to do.

I agree. (I'll add more later)
