Wife and I plan to attend the MotoGP at Mugello. This will be our first trip to Mugello and we were wondering if someone who has been there many times can give us some tips on where to best view the race. We would rather not buy the highest priced seats for the weekend, but we are not affraid to spend some money. After all it is MotoGP which is never cheap.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome BTW Naga418.

Lucky you!!! Ive never been to any other race outside of UK but thats gonna change.

Are you living in the US? or based elsewhere .....Just curious as thats a heck of a long way to go watch a GP.

I sure someone here has been to Mugello, so hopefully you will get an answer to your question.

Enjoy the forums and dont forget to enter into our free MotoGP fantasy league.

Houston TX is where I am from. I actually live just down the road maybe twenty miles from where Edwards is from. Never met him, but still pretty cool having a local boy on the track.

My wife and I both race offroad and usually try and find a way to catch some form of racing while we are on holiday. This year we have a wedding to attend in Hong Kong and ourselves as well as the wedding party are headed to Italy after the wedding. Well when in Rome do as.... so my wife and I are leaving the wedding party and headed to catch the MotoGP.

I took my wife to Laguna Seca last year for the MotoGP and she loved it. Sure makes life as a race fan much easier if the wife likes it to:)

Never been to Mugello, sorry I couldn't be of help. I was at Laguna last year too, what did you think?

That's a lot of globetrotting for a wedding.

Hey Ben you got that sorta stuff goin? Come to Motegi for yer "Honeymoon"
<

can't help with tips that I know I know off,. but there are known's which we all know, and unknown's which we will know when we know off them when we get there,. Rummers is class ain't he
<

I am doing the Jerez round first with my wee buck, flying out,. but I hope to do the Mugello one as well during my M/Cycle trip arounf June,.

all I would say is get a video of the racing at Mugello and work out where the best action usually is,. for Jerez the wee man and me are heading to the X1 stand,. which is the two corners leading up to the last hairpin where Rossi stuck the boot in Gibbers last year
<

Also,. I would suggest to get your tickets early,.
If you can stretch to it I would look at VIP tickets,. can run from 700 quid up, although this does not mean you will see the best action,. I would also suggest a section of the track where there is a large TV screen,.

No matter what,. you and the better half will have a ball as the atmosphere is usually electric,. especially Itanliano and heth-spanya

good luck,. enjoy

The wife and I have been to all sorts of races all over the world. Hell I even drive from Houston TX past Mexico City just to race my dirtbike for two days. Not scared of the price. Was just hoping to find someone here who had been to Mugello that could offer some tips.

Funny thing is the couple who are getting married are from Sydney. We met them years ago in an airport in Vietnam. Been long distance travel buddies ever since.

We loved the race at Laguna. Personally I think it is the best track in the US hands down. The only thing laguna does not have is a long straight. I hear they have spent some more money to make it a bit for MotoGP friendly.

road america is in wisconsin. it,s an excellent 4 mile road course in the heart of america. a few years back there was talk of motogp going there, but i don't think the track is fim approved. it's also kinda remote. i think miller motorsports park is going to be the premiere road race track in the states when it is completed. will be fim/fia approved, full state of the art garages & facilities & is 30 min from salt lake city. the wifes cousin lives in sandy utah, right down the road from salt lake.

There was talk of MotoGP going but just like you I doubt it. Although there is a huge rennovation going on there, I want to say like $11 million and the reason was "to attract international championships." I've got to believe they will be getting something when the make the changes, my guess is WSB. It is very remote though, nealy 100 miles from Chicago and between 50-100 miles from Milwaukee.

From what I've read Miller Motorsports Park is going to be great and will have approval from all the sanctioning bodies so MotoGP and WSB can come. I just hope that they did a good job designing it so it's not a dull circuit.

the miller track should be excellent. even tho it is being built in a flat area, they added elevation changes so it would'nt be flat & boring. no corksrew mind you, but enough i'm sure. well see when the ama guy's go there this summer.
