right, the same nut who's lap record from 3 years ago was only just pipped by a tenth yesterday

It would be good to see them find something in the warm up, I'm

not holding my breath though. The bike doesn't turn, it would seem fairly obvious that the chassis is the issue, backed up by

what Rossi said when speaking of the changes being

predominantely aimed at fixing the rear end issues, other than

this he said the bike was the same.

It is a little disturbing seeing what seems to be an increase in support for rossi by the fans present this week, if that's possible

at mugello, to overwhelming levels from the shots I've seen........

for the guy who'll be lucky to make the top eight, barring any miracles, and given the weather seem to be in short supply for the red pit.

at least it seems, bridgestone has been told to smarten up their act, which is producing results and finally some development.

Reconsider.

I would have had your dinner money off you every ....... day !

No I'm not happy with the state of affairs - I have consistently maintained that I would like to see Vale competitive again. I do think however that this situation is quite revealing given that this is the first time in his career that Valentino has not benefitted from an appreciable comparative advantage and now finds himself handicapped. The switch to Ducati was ultimately fuelled by ego. The tiresome character assassination of CS has been an international sport amongst Rossi devotees since 2007. When was the last time you went to a race? If you experienced that vitriol firsthand at a race weekend - particularly in the UK, I think even you would alter your perspective somewhat.

Contrary to your belief I am not on a mission to denigrate Rossi fans, it is simply my observation that many are not genuine race fans. No I don't particularly like Valentino as an individual, and in a paddock in which most riders churn out homogenised platitudes regurgitated from the P/R department CS is a breath of fresh air in that he says what he means and means what he says irrespective of who he upsets. I have always found the Valentino P/R machine fake and as insincere as the man himself. Fogarty was ten times as undiplomatic and obnoxious as Casey, yet everyone adored him. I find it ironic that whatever the man does he is and will always be the rider the fans love to despise - yet any criticism of Vale we are immediately branded as haters. We witnessed at Jerez how Rossi-centric this sport has become and very simply I'm as tired of Rossi's disingenuity as you are with Casey's perceived brat like conduct.

The only satisfaction that I'm getting from this state of affairs is that the pricks that lampooned Casey for his frequent front end crashes on the Ducati have now been silenced - far from intimidated by members posts such as mine as you suggest.

If you like I'll dredge up the posts from the members who earlier this year attributed CS's immediate speed on the Honda purely to the advent of seamless transmission. Are you really suggesting that their absence now is due to the vehement reaction from members such as myself Keshav and Jum?

I have maintained all season that the bike would be sorted by Mugello - and following that watershed Valentino would be winning races again. I am sorry to say that I was mistaken. As a lover of this sport, I would dearly love to see Vale win his home race today on an Italian bike, but it would have to be through some obscure quirk of fate/happenstance as opposed to outright racing. Talpa, believe me when I say I would genuinely love to be proved wrong in respect of the latter.

Couldn,t agree more, my friend.

Steady on there broom besom that is about as much as you know b__assplate judging by your posts here not many notes or significance come out of your bass, I've been following bike racing longer than you’ve been alive mate… and when was the last Scotchman to win a gp? Well there was Rob McElnea but the best he ever got was 4th
<

Oh yeah Rob Mac, that famous English racer. Did you mean Barry McSheene or Kenny MacRoberts Mr all knowing GP oracle? Or was it Niall Mackenzie who came fourth in the 500 world championship in 1989 or put a private 500 Yamaha on the podium at Donny in 1993?

Pete

Rossi is having trouble cuz Uccio doesn't like to wear red. Now Valentino can't concentrate on racing if Uccio is always mad at him.

Rossi, them pearl necklaces ain't gonna work this time buddy.

Talpa, u can take solice in the fact u r not the worst poster here.

Thanks,

Good logic applied here from you, with brilliant posts littered throughout from Baz, Scotty, 321dave and even Kesh asking me to reconsider breathing above-this is a bit rich don't you think? They do, rather significantly, share a common POV
