Soo i had an amazing time!

Wont spam you all with my selfies or photos haha but if anyone is curious pics are up at www.instagram.com/aussiemotogpfan

It was such a great experience - highlights include:

1. met so many riders - pretty much every one that i wanted to meet. selfies to prove haha a highlight for me though was meeting colin edwards as my mum was with me in the paddock and she got so excited haha The friendliest riders to me were Petrucci and Redding having said that though no one was rude. THe rider that surprised me the most though was Iannone - I thought he was going to be arrogant/rude however he was actually friendly and had a laugh/joke with my mum. Another really nice moment for me was meeting Paolo Simoncelli. I had Marco's number on my iphone cover and when i asked for a photo he was more than happy to and commented on my phone screen. When i showed him my nails with marco's number on it, he even took a photo on his phone as he said he wanted to show his family. that was a really nice moment for me

2. The pitwalk was a lot of fun - got to sit on Loris Baz's bike (i know its only loris baz but i never thought id get to sit on a motogp bike haha) and seeing all the garages up close was cool

3. Watched qualifying from different parts of the circuit - i had been to PI once before but getting driven around in one of the dorna cars to see the whole track was really cool

4. BMW safety car lap of the circuit - that was really fun and holy crap it went so fast haha

5. Watching warm up from the suzuki garage.. what was really lovely for me is that the Dorna guy invited my mum to come along with me which was really nice to be able to experience part of this with her. Suzuki was really nice too!

6. Immediately after the warm up was the PI MotoGP parade where all the riders sit in the backs of the convertibles. My mum and myself were still in the garages at this point out the front so we got to see the riders as they left - Suzuki garage was in a great spot too, between yamaha and honda so got to see riders up close. As a Rossi fan, I nerded out when he waved to my selfie haha wasnt expecting him to do that - slowly driving up he was all rugged up in his jacked but waved and said hello. Rossi haters or not i dont care, that was awesome for me haha

7. so i wont keep yapping - getting to go on the grid and watching the start of an unbelievable race from pit wall was amazing

Again, sorry if this comes across as a brag. it really isnt. its just nice to share my excitement with people that love the sport too. Cant wait for the race today!

Great Pictures!
To me they look miniscule (the bikes) bit like jumping off a litre bike onto a 125.
Glad you had such a great time and so did your mum. :)

Holy crap, it's like you won the lottery! I thought the Motul superfan thing would get you a free tshirt, race progr, and a seat at some crap grandstand, but holy crap, you were treated like a VIP guest all around.

Shaunna, you're talking to a group of people here that get nerded out by all things GP. We want to read more a more descriptions on your experience at a GP event.

All that sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing. I like it all, geez you're lucky, a personal parade, track lap in safety car, getting to meet all the riders and them waving at you, particularly Rossi as you are a fan, and Mr. Simonchelli take a pic of your tribute to his diseased son, that's just really great.

There used to be a time on this forum when personal accounts of being at the track, be it AMA, BSB, Wsbk, GP was the best features of the fabric of this forum community. Unfortunately that's been lost. Don't feel like you're bragging or saying something uninteresting, we're here because we live for this stuff.

Thanks for sharing. I was actually worried because you disappeared for a moment after the race. Which reminds me, on top of the VIP treatment, the race was awesome, and you got to see your boy on the podium.

Fun read, thanks again for pics and write up.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

Omg I am so jealous! It looks amazing! Love the pics! The safety car would have been so much fun! :D

We were sitting on the straight right in front of the suzuki garage so would have been so close to you. We were in the cheap seats getting wet though hahaha

Sounds like you had the best time. Congrats again!
