I like Casey. Graduate from Red Bull KTM, Aussie, young, rides for Red Bull, Alpinestars and Honda and is tipped to be a very good rider by Jeremy Burgess. Can't go wrong with Stoner, I like him and hope he can stick with his freshman mates this season.

I really don't like him. In the past few years he's gone from mildly annoying to probably my most hated rider. And I'm not gonna cut him any slack because he comes from Australia.
<

Aussie riders like Gardiner, Doohan, Corser, McCoy and Bayliss set a standard for Aussier riders. Not just good riders, but good blokes, too. Mature, funny, down to eath, interesting people. The kinda guys you'd want to have as mates. Stoner dosen't live up to that standard in my opinion. Even Mladin does to some extent, but not Stoner.

what's turned u off of stoner richo? sounds like you've meet him & he turned out to be a complete ........ i can't remember him sayin anything stupid or ignorant, so what give's?

I've never liked Stoenr, and he's just gotten more and more annoying. He talks like he's Australia's gift to world chapoiship racing, Talking himself up and putting his rivals down. It's like hes trying to play mind games, but he's such an amatuer. I can remember him saying stuff like: "I'm just out to prove that Dani Pedrosa's not as good as everyone thinks he is" I mean, why would you say that? It's so stupid, not to mention the fact that anyone can see Pedrosa is a world champ in the making, and he's just a guy who crashes out of races and hands the 250 championship to Dani on a silver platter. It's so lame, and he always ends up eating his words anyway. You know, I don't even know how he got into GP. How is it fair that Thomas Luthi wins the 125cc world championship and can't move up to 250s, but Stoner, who's never won a world championship can dabble around in the smaller classes for a few years then jump straight up to GP?
He says all his arrogant stuff on Aussie TV, because no-one else listens to him other than the motorsport commentaors who think he's gonna be the next Mick Doohan or somthing. I dunno, I guess when he's in Australia all the attention makes him act like a hotshot but when he's overseas no one really cares because he's just a grid filler who was lucky enough to take some wins in the maller classes. A feat I belive he wont be repeating in motoGP.

As you can probably tell, I'm not his biggest fan

Right now he's the best from down under. Taking 6th in his debut race is a very good result.

Oh ...., I should've got Loris instead of Sete !!!

I'll be updating the leagues this evening for those that are wondering!

Who picked Loris then!?

<
<
<

I've got Loris and Dani as my riders!! Superb race.
What an impresive debut for Dani. Just impresive. I've lost my words.

I'm so happy!

None of mine got in the points one being unlucky Gibbers
<

And what of poor JE? U might as well have stuck him back on the WCM..very dissapointing compared with his teamate.

However lots of Rossi fans will be at the bottom of the pecking order tonight....

yeah your team sucks ben
<

i'm quite happy with 11th after the 1st race. had de Puniet stayed in i might have got a few more points!

I'm looking forward to improve my position, unfortunately Sete DNFed and Randy didn't score, but overall I'm optimistic about future races.

Hey Ben, There's a lot of lurkers with teams and I can't help thinking what if someone with a total post count of ZERO wins? That's not really that fair to those of us who are proper members of this site, not just people who join to enter a team and get a free CYT cap.
I dunno, just dosen't seem right to me
<

In all fairness, tha majority of the teams in the lead aren't playing by the rules anyhow, so if that doesnt matter than a zero-post-counter should be just as eligable to win.

I mean to have one rider instead of 2 or not have a team to get 2 dominant riders doesnt seem right when the rules clearly state:

You have $120 million, for which you must buy 2 riders, a team, an engine and tyres.

Otherwise it would say you have 120 mil to buy whatever you can.

But i dont want to start a riot over it, it's just a game, but in all fairness its too bad everyone couldn't have just stuck to the rules
<

Yeah but teams like Konica Minolta, LCR and KR Honda run one rider, that's not a problem. Besides, if I had to have two riders, I couldn't afford Rossi, could I?
<

And as for WCM, if the poor sods could do well (As in, not last) Maybe someone would give them money and they could race. I had to change my team when they pulled out.
My point, General, is I think Ben set up the game for current members of the community, like me and you, and to attract new members, which is great too. But I get the impression some people just joined the site for a free stab at the cap, with no intentions of posting at all. I think it's just as bad as people who just join the site to spam it's members and stuff.

well, i absoultely understand what you mean by -0- postcount, and i agree its kinda awkward, I just thought the rules of the contest were clear and if you look at anyone in the immediate top positions, their teams dont have one of each item, but rather they have like 2 great riders - no team or what not.

again, its really not a big deal, i just thought the rules were clear, but apparently i;ve just misunderstood.

no bigie, im still enjoying myself and realistically never thought i'd win this thing anyways lol
