Hi all

I wanted to watch the Sepang test video's and was going to sign up to a Motogp.com video pass last week only to find out they run from the 1st of each month so would have only got a few days viewing for 13 euros or more.

i waited until today to buy the pass and the high def video pass has now gone up to 24:95 euros !!! i take it this is because this will include the 1st race from Quatar.

I would really like to see some of the pre season testing but am shocked at the price hike
<

has anyone tried the pass and what is the coverage of the pre season testing like ?

thanks

paul

Don't buy a month's pass for the pre-season. It seriously aint worth 25 euros. The 13 euro testing pass started at the beginning of testing and just expired which is why the prices have changed. Buy a full season pass and you'll get to see the pre-season stuff as well. Much better value at 90 euros if you bought last year (or 100 if not) - works out just over 5.5 euros a race. Plus there are loads of videos of old races available.

hey

i dont think you get proper video of the tests its more like quick preview (highlights) but it may have changed... i think you can watch the rider interviews tho.

i am shocked at the price increase its now 72 GBP i am stunned......

i only payed 60 gbp last season.

pure internet robbery

yeah the monthly pass is not worth it, last year i bought the pass early and i got to see the qatar test but i dont know if they will cover the test live this year so the monthly pass is defo not a good choice

You are either referring to the cost of the standard res for last year or you have a faulty memory, my friend.

If you bought in 2010 then this years is 90 euros. Last year was also 90 euros for HD, as was 2009 and 2008. The price has effectively gone down as the definition has been higher each year.

Hey guys....

I have bought the package last year, and in 2009,

so 89,95€ for me in portugal....

And now a question for you, that messing with my head!

It's nothing about the videopass.

It's about this video!

http://www.motogp.com/pt/videos/2011/Sepang+Test+2011+Day+1

In 3:30 they talk about Rossi

In 3:40 they show Rossi on track.....!!!!! Is Rossi? Let´s see better? No! Who is he?

In 4:12 they talk about Capirossi and then shows Capirossi on track!!!!!! Is Capirossi?? No, it's again the other rider that appears on Rossi's Bike.....

WTF!

The standard def has gone up though surely? I can't remember how much I paid for it last year, it wasn't £68 that is for sure. HR has been 99 euros since it was unveiled, this is the first year I have the facilities.

Either way you look at it, its ....... way too much money. But I buy it anyway. Why? Where else you gonna go?

.... Dorna.

Thanks for your replies people.

Nice one Junkie

Yeah my problem is i have Eurosport which i watch practice , qualifying and the race sun on but was real keen to see the testing and interviews. I just cannot justify paying for a whole season as i already pay for sky tv but i must admit id be interested in the "quality" difference ?

Eurosport does seem to be quite grainy so its a toss up in going HD on the sky package or bitting the bullet and paying for a pass.

Just how in depth are the interviews and testing on Motogp.com ? Would you say better than skys coverage ?

I also like the Julian/Toby/Spalding banter

Ps: junkie just read your threads man AWESOME stuff " Brilliant read thanks for posting.

cheers

Is that an analogue satellite channel? I can't believe it's still being broadcast, I used to watch the F1 warm up sessions in the 90's on there.

and i have a digital box too and on analogue box i get German Eurosport with English Lang for free

different listing to Brit Eurosport but great for free.

Thanks Pigeon

Any idea how i could go about getting satellite tv from Astra1 19.2e ? can you buy the digi boxes 2nd hand or is it a cable provider ?

Thanks

Paul

you can

try places like maplins fleBay etc

i used a old sky dish and pointed it at astra1

lots of box's come with astra1 pre installed

it just a matter of re-aligning the dish

Sky these days points at astra2 - 28.2e

astra1 is at 19.2e

theres a very strong signal at astra1

i connected the box to a tv i could see set it on a astra1 channel moved the dish until i got a picture took 5mins

my box cost £30 and the ex- sky dish was free a bit of coax and two fconnectors for the coax

£35 all up and running a ex-sky box wont work you need a fta Satellite Receiver for Free Digital TV

http://www.satellite....uk/ftamain.htm

input your post code select astra1 19.2e drag the green symbol to suitable location at your home

zoom in thats

where your dish needs to point if you can get sky then most ppl can get astra1 you just need a

clear line of sight to the satellite

http://www.dishpointer.com/

29y2yr7.jpg
15p4lz7.jpg

it is rather easy to do

if you try it dont forget your dish dont need to be high up on a house etc it can go on a fence

a shed etc so long as you get a clear line of sight to the satellite and you have a suitable location on your home

SOME PLACES LIKE B&Q LIDL ALDI SCREWFIX Have had complete kits Box/Dish etc for about £40-50

http://www.maplin.co...llite-receivers

Satellite Receiver for Free Digital TV

Provides digital free-to-air satellite reception

Make use of a redundant Sky dish by plugging in this receiver to get Free Satellite digital TV

Pigeon thanks for the detailed info there superb ! That has got to be worth looking into
<

Cheers

Paul

free chans on astra1 here http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-19.2E-fta.php and the Germans being a liberal easy going lot you'll find a good bit of soft pron on it

Out of curiosity, who is getting the HD pack as oppose to the standard resolution?

I do. This year it is said to be 720p instead of just hi/res. I was fairly happy with the quality, hoping for a bit more.
