Is it just me or do other people experience problems streaming live video during the race. If I watch the replay it works perfectly but during the race it constantly buffers and is unwatchable, even in standard res. The problem seems to be getting worse as the season progresses.
I have a 10Mbps cable connection and Dual Pentium 2.8 with 2Gig of ram running Vista.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.
 
Motogp.com has always had problems, I gave up subscription when it reached €99.
Its a lot of dosh for, honestly, a piss poor service.
 
Thanks for the reply chockmoose, I guess I won't be wasting 99Euro next year. It's disappointing when you don't get the service you are paying for. I emailed MotoGP.com with the problem I was having and they didn't have the decency to even reply to me. I guess once they have your money they don't really care, but they won't be getting any more money out of me.
If anyone else is thinking about subscribing, I'd save your money.
 
i've had probs in the past but this season has been near perfect. no problems whatsoever. but i didn't get the high res package like you seem to have gotten.
 
Since I started using the MediaPlayerConnectivity add-on to Mozilla and pointing Media Player files to play in VLC I've had absolutely no problems, even with the High Res stuff. I was getting a lot of buffering issues before that, but now it's fine and VLC doesn't buffer at all so there's extremely little time delay between the data on Live Timing and the video stream.

It depends where you live. I live in New Zealand and the streaming servers that I connect to are in Spain so I couldn't be any further away really. Australia would be better but still not that close so maybe they have servers in the US to make it better for people there.

But yea, their service is the worst, never had any reply and I've sent them heaps of abusive emails. I even sent a polite one to all the staff on their work emails including that Gavin Emett guy who commentates at the races and none of the buggers replied!
 
Some time it takes several attempts to connect to the server. So far have never lost a race this year!
Tried the high resolution but was not worth, too choppy and intermittent.
