For any of you who need a reminder of how fast the Ducati GP7 was in a straight line with the wick turned all the way up. Epic last lap from Stoner.

I was never a fan of the 800s, but after 5 years of competition, they seemed like a better alternative than the 81mm 1000s, particularly since the 2012 regs cut another liter of fuel. The racing wasn't great, but the displacement and engine speeds were not really the problem. If the 800s could have been tamed slightly, we might have averted the aero/ride-height crisis.

It was Sepang that year that I can still picture Rossi getting blown away down the straight but the Ducati rocket ship.
 
Yeh but those 2007 Ducati's sucked in the corners, only an alien could make them turn like the other manufacturers
