Oh yeah I always forget about my screen name... I guess it's a bit misleading. Sure lots of top riders have complaints, it's pretty much become a part of the sport, complain enough and hope that something gets changed to appease the complaint being made. Quite frankly I'm so used to hearing complaints and excuses that they barely bother me anymore. But I have a special dislike for the tone Jorges remarks are said with, they come off with such an arrogant venom. At least that's the way I often see it.

I am somewhat of a bandwagon Jorge fan, but got on the bandwagon because I wanted him to beat MM not VR, because he is the guy who was good enough to beat my previous guy, and because I admired his grit in his two previous title defenses, particularly in riding 2 days after fracturing his clavicle and having it plated.

The post race interviews are of little or no interest to me and now I think of it I haven't watched them for years. I am told by yam fan who has read Jorge's biography that what he says post-race is scripted and he sticks to the script rigorously, believing he was misinterpreted particularly in English in his early years. Valentino is really smart and genuinely witty, even in English, but that is not what I personally pay the money to subscribe to MotoGP.com or Foxtel for.

Speaking of bandwagon fans i'm surprised that that tps tosser hasn't been on yet, gloating about how much of an alpha male his hero is,perhaps he's just completely worn out with all the wanking he'll have been doing.

Nobody posts in Moto 3 threads in reality so maybe spoiler tags would be better in the main thread.

Ah yes, your high post count would show that you are a reliable source for this statement.

Yeah man, I totally agree. Just tired of every thread in this forum turning into a Rossi bashing thread. When the thread is labeled something like “KTM 2017" and 99% of the posts are about Rossi..

To be fair, no one is making you read the threads.

If you can make it work at a larger size, great, but dont expect an entire sport to cater to you because you outgrew it.

Apart from his preseason tyre failure, Loris Baz seems to be doing ok. He is bigger than Redding, also on a Ducati.

someone needs to call NJPD and have them do a welfare-ckeck on JPLScrotum. I fear the worst.
As far as Jlo's attitude. I don't think he cares too much about how he comes off. Mostly due to the .... move he uses while putting out the tricycle sign when someone is behind him in practice. He may not agree with slower riders getting a tow or following his lines, but trying to humiliate them can't be a popular move. And he is trying to belittle and humiliate them.

As Gaz has said, for you to criticise Lorenzo for 'trying to humiliate' other riders while being a Rossi fan is flat out pathetic.

That signal is a tactic, I even used it when I was kart racing. It's no different from a tactic of running a different tyre to try and get the upper hand. Plus I never saw you saying Rossi was a .... when he used to complain about getting a tow.

I text some fellow posters on here Saturday when I read Rossi got pole, and said the place must be a nightmare with tps, but he has been oddly silent.

As other have said, race was a bit boring by some standards but Rossi rode extremely well and deserved the win. I'm glad Lorenzo got 2nd, bringing it home is important at this stage. However, the man of the race for me:

Eugene Laverty

He is really impressing me this yr, and at the least deserved Crutchlow's LCR ride next year.

Perhaps tps is quiet because somebody finally beat him into that coma?,i was reading his post stating that he'd had several death threats,i asked him if that didn't tell him something? but got no reply,i reckon he's just been hitting the Babycham a bit hard to celebrate his hero's dominance at Jerez.

Poor Bloody Dovi.
Anyone been able to confirm the cause of failure?

When Lorenzo says "I never experienced that kind of spin in my MotoGP career" he's telling the world that they didn't practice with used tires in the afternoon practice sessions, -- had they done that, he would have seen that spin already during FP. Heck, he didn't even pay attention to what other riders said: Pirro for one was speaking about the spin problem already on Friday night (of course the Ducatis suffered more than all others from that and had to tune down their power a lot, which explains in part their poor showing).

On a side note, who else found it interesting that Marquez followed Lorenzo around close to his rear wheel for the first 2/3 of the race, but never made a pass?

Proof in the pudding that Marquez can, and has followed people closely without making a pass.

I did see that one Gaz, apologies I just thought the one from Crash showed the rear tyre better.

No problems mate and just pissing with you ....... or maybe I am making excuses or giving reasons or something

Your pic was heaps better - and when you look even further that line in the tyre does not look good (maximise the image in the link I posted - that tyre looks farked)

I wonder if the water pump was convenient as that tyre together with comments from Redding etc do not look good for the tyres --- that one really looks dodgy to me.

I know, you POHM ;)

I did see some smoke/steam from the back of Dovi's bike when they showed the replay, and clearly Laverty saw something too as he was pointing. But yes That tyre is farked.

Water coming out of the broken pump and spilling on the rear tire caused the damage in half a lap or so.

Where is the pump in relation to that line of damage though J4 plus the water would have had to be extremely hot (I would suspect) or under extreme pressure (which is possible) as the line of damage seems a few mm deep and is consistent, almost due to impact damage

No doubt you have better insight but generally from my experience tyre damage like that is not common

....

Only you (so far). :)

The fact that Marquez stayed behind Lorenzo for 2/3 of the race without attempting a pass, and then lost ground in the last 1/3, can be the proof only that he didn't have enough speed to really race him... of nothing else really.

Had he been able to shadow him for the entire race, without attempting anything even in the last lap, then it would have looked peculiar (again).
