VR obviously stole 99 settings now Jorge is leaving.

Wait a minute was that a pair of special michelins been delivered this morning into a motor home

Last year with Bridge after the same amount of races VR had more points than today. Today 99 couldn't deal with rear overspinning in a very hot temperature as well as 46. If there was an actual Dorna-Michelin conspiracy, Rossi wouldn't have struggled as much as he has in the last three races.
Because Michelin don't know how to change their tires for Europe...

"I feel good with these tires because I grew up with these tires, it's something more familiar to me." VR Jerez 2016. (Post race)

I actively dislike Rossi since Sepang 2015 as you know which I didn't previously, but this week-end he was fast in every session regardless of newness of tyres or conditions, and Jorge even on the Bridgestones was less comfortable in high temperature low grip conditions such as those prevalent today, with Rossi winning 2 races in the dry last year on Bridgestones when he was just plain faster as well. Only if the Michelins start exhibiting low grip and poor wear everywhere in all conditions will questions arise imo, although being able to excel on such tyres is a rather significant skill obviously

Just in the nature of things I think there is more chance of MM beating Valentino overall this season than there is of Jorge doing so though.

Yeah, like that's exactly how I'd manage to favour a rider if I was Dorna: after 4 races only, and only in a specific continent. Pretty "racist" and weird conspiracy.

Which btw means that in your view Arg, Us and Qatar tracks are to Michelin and Dorna conspirating technicians what the south pole is to a lion.

no, I don't believe that at all. Just feeding the conspiracy nuts!

Yes indeed! You hear that sound? Cranking and crinkling and generators getting hot, the sound of great swaths of machinery groaning to life; little men in boiler suits running around with oil cans lubricating the rollers and joints of the massive machine behemouth at Reynolds; a voice calling out from the tiny office high above the factory floor, calling down: Hey everybody Rossi won, time to ramp up production of tinfoil! Start brewing lots of strong coffee. We'll be working 24 hour shifts boys!

BTW - if I'm not mistaken, Reynolds is a Spanish name. And Uncle Camelito is .... tah da! Spanish!!! The mystery deepens.

So only the conspiracy theories of others are stupid?

Binder sent to back of grid due to use of unhomologated software on his bike, even though it's said he gained no advantage from it!

I guess his starting position didnt matter to him....2nd at the moment...

Sad to see John Mcfee has had an off he doesn't need any more bad luck!! :(

What an amazing achievement by Binder last to first and a great last corner from Bulega , fantastic stuff!!!

Happy for B.Binders win....well deserved and a long time in coming....

And I just became a Bulega fan...great ride for the rookie...

Binder wins from 35th on the grid!
Damage control indeed.

Brilliant race, Brad was amazing to take the win. Smoothness personified.
Great ride by young Bulega too, he seems a talented and likeable lad.

Wasn't sure Brad could bridge the gap to the lead 3...but brilliant ride.
Always nice to guys get their first win

WTF has moto3 got to do with the Motogp race.
I thought we had a fcuking entire moto3 section dedicated to fcuking moto3!
Twats!

Calm down, it's a race thread, loads of talk about the Moto GP which is actually an event in itself, you don't buy tickets for each race individually so a thread about the gran premio red bull jerez just might contain a few spoilers and so.

Surprised to see Rossi in the pace from the very fast lap. Very dominant performance. Spinning issues affected him as well but as usual in changing conditions Vale adapts better. Not sure if Lorenzo was more unhappy about losing to Rossi or seeing the Ducatis were so poor in Jerez... he might win his last race this season?

Marquez body language while riding gives the impression that his bike cannot possibly be ridden any faster. Great result for damage limitation. I expect him to lose his lead in the next few races but finish the season strong. It'll depend how far the Yamahas are before Philip Island.

Great result by the underrated Aleix beating the slightly overhyped Vinales.

Marc Marquez: “Honestly, today Valentino [Rossi] was on another level, like I was in Austin, and the most important thing is that today we accepted finishing third in the race. I learned a lot from last year and and I didn’t want to make a mistake. I was very focused from the start and I tried to ride strongly and stay with Jorge [Lorenzo], but I could tell that with the higher track temperatures - 11º C higher than yesterday - it was very difficult for me to manage the front tyre well. I almost crashed several times, so in the end I made a difficult decision in front of our fans, as we preferred to secure 16 points that will be very positive at the end of the season, which is very long. We must have patience until we take a step further with the bike’s acceleration and find something else that allows us to fight for the win.”

It's called courtesy for other members. Not everyone can watch all races at the same time. I work over the weekends so I watch each class at different time maybe even few days late. If you wanna talk about other class, do so in its proper section. Don't ruin the fun for others. Please.

All kinds of conspiracies and resentment towards selected riders are inevitable and fun. I believe it's even more fun, though, when they don't completely and irrationally compromise all chances to be even remotely objective and admit flaws and pros of everyone, whether it's Lorenzo's oustanding precision in all corners, Rossi's remarkable adaptability to different tracks, conditions and eras or MM's unmatched ability to put his bike wherever he wants whenever he wants in the bravest looking style.

Personally, no matter how much he'll win from now on, and by no means regretting to admit I'm a Rossi "fan" and some kind of Marquez "hater" (yes, after last season, yes, I'm biased), I also have no problem admitting to find Marc Marquez overall (overall = including Vale's prime in the first 2000's) a more talented rider than Vale, and his style some sort of devilishly crazy never-seen-before revolutionary unique gift.

About last year: several different things have (or have not) happened from Philip Island on. But I SINSIRLY :)p) think that no rational person can tell for sure (perhaps not even the three most directly involved) what happened in each moment of each race except someone who wants very much to believe to know everything.

I suggest you stay off the internet until you watch the race. I just watched the moto 3 race. Finished about a minute ago. I did not come here or Facebook until now, for this very reason.

Yeah, if I don't catch the races live, I avoid the internet and don't even check my e-mail until I get a chance watch the races.

This has been forum etiquette for more than a decade. That's why we have separate threads for each category of race. Same is true on most other forums.

But every thread is a Rossi bashing thread? So where are we allowed to talk about binder?

I suggest that you recognize there is a simple courtesy that we don't post spoilers in other threads as this has been the way it's been done here since the forum started. You know... When in Rome etc, unless you want to antagonize the majority of the members who have followed this basic rule out of mutual respect.

Please can someone post a link to the moto 3 thread?
