The problem with this pass is that it now leaves the door open for anyone else to do the same thing at any corner, at any speed.

Marquez went for that gap knowing full well that he was going collide regardless of what anyone says.
I don't believe that. Ambitious and hungry he was but I dont believe deliberate.

I see two options. 1) the Jumkie variant: he ...... up his breaking 2) the sly-woody variant: he ...... up his breaking on purpose, knowing full well they would collide.

Is there a rule not to torpedo another rider?  So lets apply your logic to another incident, when Bautista crashed into Lorenzo in the first turn incident, it was just two guys taking different lines.  After all, as you said, there is no rule that a rider take a "perfect line through a corner."  So Bautista was just going to take a wide line, but stupid Lorenzo wanted to take a more 'normal' line, and the two collided.

Same .... with this incident, stupid Lorenzo applied the brakes to take a 'normal' line, but Marquez decided not to apply enough brakes, maybe like Bautista he was interested in taking a wide line, so wide that it would have taken him beyond the white line.  Hey, whats the problem, its just two guys wanting to take different lines on a corner...no rule against that, right?  (sarcasm)

By your reasoning, every rider that overtakes and makes another rider alter their line in a corner has therefore completed an illegal move. I don't understand why Lorenzo turned into MM. He must have seen him as he was looking the right way. Sure MM's line wasn't perfect and he probably went in a little too hot but he still would have made it through the corner.

Break = breken
Brake = remmen

Now if you'd written loose where you meant lose, I would have had to hunt you down.

Krops, hyperbole--tactic.

I dont want the kid tar & feathered. Definitely talked to officially. What was this new ........ card system about? And as far as i've read on the inter-webs, the majority side with Marc. Not sure what u've read.

Steif, i am not going to debate his "intent". Im not a mind reader. Ask Krops to help u there.

He's new to MGP he's learning and growing and like everyone he is going to make mistakes,all this fuss is nonsense, imagine if  Jorge had taken Rossi out when he high sided for the umpteenth time in his rookie year? but he learned and stopped making mistakes,some it seems want to burn Marky at the stake.

Noyes spoke to Mike Webb. Webb said if it had happened during FP3, or even QP2, Marquez would have got a punishment. This was the last corner of the last lap of the race. A little latitude is allowed, people are allowed to take risks, to try to beat the other guy. Marquez would have made the corner on his own, though he would have run wide and been slow. It was a legitimate last-lap attack, one which Lorenzo asked for by leaving the door open.

And there's the difference with Harada. Harada had the door shut. Capirossi did not brake. Note, not 'made a mistake in braking', but 'did not brake'. He t-boned Harada.

So he did make a mistake? :lol: Agree about the learning bit. I admire the kid as much as anybody with perhaps exception of Krops. If u have the raced taped, watch Marky pass Rossi. It reminded me of Spies sequence with Haslam 09 Assen Wsbk. THIS is what i admire, milimeter control two riders battling for same piece of track without collision. Peeps pointing to last incident turn as if this is to be admired.

Krops insists there was "no mistake" then perhaps he knows more about Marcs "intent" than we...

Btw, that vid is hilarious.

I'm not sure who has said that last corner move by MM was to be admired. It was ugly as far as passes go but my issue is whether it was wrong, and I don't believe so.

It also said to me that MM has it. Get the job done, even if it isn't pretty. The type who want it to be pretty all the time get upset when they break a fingernail...

I did have an issue with MM's riding earlier in the race however. I'm not looking through rosé coloured glasses.

break = kapot maken, slopen, naar de klote helpen

I don't know, seems quite apt for this kid's actions.

Actually, it looks like the collective overwhelming opinion has been to side against the rider, and disregard the facts. If you had torches, they'd be flaming right now, and lighting pitchforks.

Sharpening torches and lighting pitchforks?

Is that Rog? I miss ol Rog

Funny cuz thats the same thought i had. Actually the dude from vid reminds me of Trailer Park Boys, who reminds me of Rog. Best bit of vid "this is Stevan, his name is Stevan, harden the .... up!"
