Okay so they had a terrible fire that destroyed all the bikes that were taking part at the Jerez test.
What I want to know is why there aren't duplicates, after all what would happen if a bike got destroyed racing especially as they are electric. I think they're trying to run this series on a shoestring, which imo is terrible, after all we are all threatened with having to have electric cars etc in the next 20 years.

I think the real question here is why do the bikes spontaneously combust? And if a battery short makes one burst in to flames do we really want 20 rideable hand grenades on the grid that will explode after a crash?

True, Many years ago I had a Citroen DS, the battery is under the rear seat, it shorted and the car went up in flames, I was on the M1 at the time and I was choking on the fumes while trying to stop.
Never touched a french car after that.
