agreed, wsbk usually offers the better racing. but if a motogp race is really good , nothing can beat it. after all its the fastest bikes ridden by the fastest riders.
adding to that i don't really like any of the current title contenders , where as a couple of years ago it was just great to see bayliss, haga on top of his game, spies and before that edwards chili etc.
moto2 is my favorite racing series at the moment anyways and its riders are as good as the superbikers ,if not better. so thats another advantage of gps.
when do you think motogp was really good? I think it went downhill since 2006 which means it has been sucky for 5 YEARS now
I should add, while I prefer MotoGP to WSBK, I think BSB trumps the pair of them. For some reason I consider Superbike racing more of a national thing...
I agree, I started to follow BSB only this year and I have to say the racing is terrific. As WSBK anyhow watching Biaggi and Checa fight for the title doesn't excite me too much..
I personally think WSBK is starting to go down the route of MotoGP in that the racing is not that close. I don't mind it in MotoGP, because it is the pinnacle of road racing, so it should have the best machines and riders and if the racing is spread out, then tough, its racing purity.
Superbike racing however, should be built around close racing. The bikes in my opinion should be close to their production counterparts. I think I'm correct in saying that many Superbikes used in WSBK have GPS now and advanced electronics. That ain't right in my opinion. BSB is fantastic at the moment and MSV are considering applying EVO rules to the entire class, which I think would be a great idea.
