but you're right, it added a secret ingredient to the season.

To answer the question: Rossi winning every year was the result of him getting the most points. So if other riders can do the same, then we'd have other people winning the championship. Meaning, I'm not into rossi all throughout. If other riders can do it, then good.

Jane, if it were just as simple as getting the most points.... "To be a real, deserving champion you gotta have more fans than Jesus, win more races than Ago, NOT be Nicky Hayden or Dani Pedrosa, show off when you win, and when you don't, and have silly haircuts. Anyone else is just a footnote in history."

Seeing as Valentino Rossi is my personal favourite rider and an awful lot of other people's favourtie rider then I would like him to win every year, yes. (Including this year!!)

My personal wish would be that Capirossi wins it...
After such a season.. after such a thrill... rossi winning another championship would not bother me like before... becouse it was a super entertaing season... umpredictable .... and if hayden wins it by beating rossi will be even better....

So BRING ON VALENCIA!!!

No I too want someone else to win. However, I have nothing against Rossi, I like the guy, no doubt he is the best rider. But you know, Rossi winning is rather yawn, these days and he always gets the biggest cheer, like yesterday, and who deserved the biggest cheer, Maniac, mentalist Elias for sure. Rossi deserves his attention, no doubt 90% of viewers watch the races because of him and I suppose Moto GP fans have a lot to thank him for, not least for making the races so entertaining to watch. But it is good to see the also rans win every now and again!

It was sad that Elias didn't get the biggest cheer yesturday, his ride is the reason people wanna ride bikes. It just seems that some Rossi fans aren't fans of the sport, there only fans of Rossi which is a downer. Same thing happened at Donington aswell to a lesser extent.

Yes that's right, Donnington illustrated it perfectly and Rossi arsing about in the paddock. It did sadden me a bit at Donnington that Rossi gets cheered all the time, I remember Hayden doing an inlap after a free practice and waving, wheeling etc...........he might as well have been somewhere else for all the notice the crowd took of him. He waved, I waved back (though I did feel a bit daft.....as if he waved at me personally

). Come on guys cheer the other guys too, they make the race worth watching

as long as theres great racing, i don't care who wins. but i rather see a new champion. i guess us non rossi worshipers will have to wait till next season....... maybe.

I watched Hayden 3 times in 3 years, and he always pulls those mofo wheelies and waving and i cheer him till i loose my voice ! So do the crowd around me. So what your saying aint quite true. You give the fans attention and they will love it!

No Nicky Hayden ehh? Some of my favorite times in sports are win the guys I dont like win championships. It makes me back my favorite riders or teams even more passionatly. Just like this year in World SBK. I dont hate Bayliss, but I am not a big fan because I hate it when a single rider dominates a series like he did at the beginning of the season. So I backed Haga even more than I have in the past.

Having said that, how can you not like Rossi? Unless you are an older gentleman and feel he is a bit too flashy. I personally like the guy and feel that he is a very deserving champion, but I wouldnt mind seeing someone else win a championship.

i guess some people are just hard to please sometimes !
i think who ever rides the best consitsantly deserves to win the championship. some people say its boring cos rossi wins it again, well i say its dissapointing whan a rider wins the championship but cant win races. rossi made a fantastic comeback and deserves the championship. nicky cant moan to much, its not as if he had riden like a world champion for a long time.
just my 2 pence ..
ps/
i support them all because im a race fan not just a rossi fan.

That is kind of a Micheal Jordan thing. I bet most of you guys didnt know this but Jordan was forced to retire by David Stern (NBA Commisioner). After the NBA lockout and strike, David thought that sport will have lost too many fans and lifted his forced retirement from Jordan to bring back the fans. Now you ask, "Why was Jordan forced to retire?" Jordan has a gambling problem and was caught betting on games just like Pete Rose. Stern promissed to keep quite as long as Jordan didnt fight him on the subject.
