Moto 2 Catalunya

Not the most exciting of races, but at the least the two Spaniards made a fight of it.  Good to see Luthi back in form

Well Espargaro seems to have sorted out his tire issues.

Redding back to usual form - in spite of getting an engine that was more up to spec.

Yup - boring race. Did it seem like more than usual amount of crashers?

Pol get a new frame? Or just being on home turf? My thought this weekend is now that Scott is so far ahead the pressure is kinda off Pol, he's become an underdog again. But what do I know?

I don't know that it was a boring race, just that Pol wasn't going to be at home to Mr. ....-up (sorry if that's a bit BBC for you over-the-pond :) ). He wan't going to come second. Redding rode a smart race. took the points on offer and stayed upright. I don;t know what it is about turn 10, I tried to see if they were unloading the suspension, whether there was a mid-corner bump or a seam on the track, but couldnt see anything you could put your finger on.

I suspect the track surface wasnt ideal and that it took someone with massive hours on that track in all conditions to make the most of it.

If Pol can repeat his win at the next race (Assen?), I think he is able to give Redding a run for the title, but I suspect it was just one of those days where he was willing to risk more than anyone else to win at his home track.

Is turn 10 off camber? It looks sort of like it dips off to the outside of the bend, which would explain all the lowsides we saw... Why don't they use the Formula 1 Chicane and tighter turn where turn 10 is?

Because that would turn an awesome corner into one that totally sucks.

Pol first ahead of his team-mate. Tuenti HP 40 team home advantage?

Edit: I agree that Assen will show us whether the advantage has returned to Espargaro, or whether this was a blip due to the track.
