Interesting. I thought BS were keen to let the contract expire and go their separate way from Dorna.

Damage limitation before they dump and run......pathetic tyre supply as I've said since they got the deal in 2009

Dorna intend to have complete control of the tires. Its part of the "vision of the future", or as I like to more accurately call it "the complete rigging" of GP. Now that Dorna will have control of what happens with tires, what little if anything was left of authenticity is gone. SNSesk for Marc is what I predict; MotoWWF Marketing Plan: Rossi Era 2.0 Marquez edition. Oh, you probably won't read it on an official press release...so I guess it won't be real, you know, like the non-existance of "Factory 2" category.

From all indications, Bridgestone could have kept the tire contract had they wanted it. Now that they have announced their departure, the people who matter are trying to come to their defense. The riders to a man are not jumping for joy to see Bridgestone leave, they are aware of how good the product was. The teams are not happy, they will be spending tens of millions to develop new machines in the next few years. So, why are they leaving? Has to be bad publicity and 20 million in free tires, outweighs any advertising that DORNA has to offer. Who is to blame for unwarranted bad publicity, the media and the sheep fan who do nothing but look for negatives and conspiracies at every turn. The riders and teams themselves can also heap some of the blame for not informing the ........ segment of their fanbase of just how good the Stones were. The old saying "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it" has come home to roost. Lets hope whoever wins the bid, can bring tires that are close to equal to what Bridegstone supplied. Its going to be fun to watch the same old detractors ..... an moan with the conspirative ........ as performance and safety goes out the window.

Thanks Povol. I really needed a laugh today. So the fans are to blame for Bstone leaving?
That's ....... hilarious where do you come up with this .....
Are there fans that are showing up to the racetrack protesting and burning tires in effigy that we havnt heard about. I know Somalians like to burn tires. Could it be possible be that Bridgestone has mistaken them for GP fans?
Or could it be from that one fan who single-handedly boycotted the races but then still showed up?
I think you're alluding that it was jumkie who got them to leave . Damn I think you're right. Bridgestone execs have been reading power slide and it inspired them to run away. Maybe the Insider was really the president of Bridgestone and got offended when he was proven to look like a fool

You think this? Really? Wow. You have an interesting perspective on this particular topic. I do not agree.

...detractors ..... an moan with the conspirative ........

The old saying "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it" has come home to roost.

Somebody remind Dr. Prof. Povol the purpose of a BOYCOTT.

Edit: JK beat me to it. (Though in my defense, I haven't "moaned" about the tires as the problem, but rather the rules. In fact I've said the spec tires have been an attempt to level the field (remembering the past SNS cast system) and argued with J4rno their is a greater effect on parity based on HRC driven rules.)

2nd Edit: Hahaha, Geez, I just noticed Dr. Prof. and Dean of paradoxical linguistic studies Povol says BOTH those who blindly accept (the "sheep") AND those who protest ("detractors") the sport are to blame. Thats basically everybody. So you are ALL f*ing guilty!
