Model line of moto's

MotoGP only exists since 2002.

Since then, the bikes raced I can remember:

Honda RCV 211 V
Yamaha M1
Kawasaki ZX RR
Ducati Desmosedici
Suzuki GSVR
Aprilia RS3
KR (V5 - 211V)
WCM

Older 500cc bikes participating in MotoGP in 2002
Honda NSR 500
Yamaha YZF 500
KR V3

Yeah, but it wasn't the same rules, MotoGP allows 4 stroke engines up to 990cc and 500cc only allows 500cc to 4 strokes.

Since 4 strokes are crap against 2 strokes the rules were changed and a new category appeared MotoGP.

yes, sorry for my english... )))

No worries. In addition to the bikes said there was also the Suzuki RGV 500 but past these bikes I can't think of any additional ones. Hope that helps.

One way of looking at it is that two stokes SHOULD be able to produce double the power of a four stroke, seeing theyve got a power stroke every revolution as opposed to one every two revolutions, meaning a 500cc two stroke up against a 990 four stroke would be an even match, if the 2stk could keep up

Just winding you up Teo. Don`t wanna start the "2s vs. 4s" thing again. Those 2 strokes were amazing bits of machinery.

HONDA RCV - this special model for ring? or have base series model ?
so intrasting technical overview and history this bike.

i found review:
HONDA RCV 211 V
Engine: 250+hp, liquid-cooled, 990cc, 75.5-degree V-5 four-stroke

990CC that does it mean? why not 500CC ?

990cc because it is a four stroke. As has been mentioned, in 2002 MotoGP changed its rules to allow 990cc four strokes to compete with 500cc two strokes. In 2004 or 2005 500cc two strokes were banned from MotoGP. In 2007, the rules will change again and 800cc four strokes will be the new machines. Hope that helps some.

Since Diesels can only rev up to 5K~6K rpm maybe we should rev limit petrol engines to 6K to allow Diesels to be competitive against them and we could get a grid full of rattling, puffing stinkers! That would be fair would it Richo?

IMO make the rules and let the engineers come up with the best solution and don't tinker with the rules just because you've got to sell a bunch of CBRs!!

Technically two strokes are still legal, they`ll only become illegal next year, because, like you've said before, someone could very well turn up with a sorted 500 with a few modern upgrades and embarras the downsized four strokes. I belive that theory. It would make for more intresting racing if they had 2 strokes and 4 strokes on the grid again, but this time with the 2 strokes actually standing a chance. But our friends over at HRC would look bad if someone rocked up on a bike they built almost a decade ago and beat them on thier latest high tech incredibly expensive 4 stroke.
That aside there were valid reasons for changing to four strokes, and it wasnt all about peak engine power. After all the 990s are a lot more friendly than the old 500s, aren`t they? But the way these new, heavier, peakier 800s are shaping up it appears to be a step backwards in that respect.

And I thought you liked the idea of Diesil motorsport Teo?

Man, when you compare 2 cylinders of 250 cc with 4 cylinders of 247.5 cc, obviously the power delivery of the second alternative is much smoother and higher, and you can rev it up as much as the materials can cope with.

What was the power of the last 500 cc. 2 strokes, 150 bhp or something? At 12k rpm?
