Emphatic victory from Marquez. Not a genuine fan but I can't wait to see him on a Moto GP bike.

Beat me to it! Now we have a duplicate thread - except mine has the mis-spelt title so I suggest we keep yours

Got to agree there Arrabb.

I dont like the kid that much but you have to admire his skill on a bike when he isn't been dangerous.

He seems to have calmed just a little, today was really close racing that had me on the edge of my seat.

Will be interesting when he gets on the GP bike.

I'm anticipating it as highly as when Lorenzo graduated to the big class.

It frustrates me because Sic, God rest his soul, had the same speed but was ten times the liability although his immense charisma and personal charm - which Marquez lacks to the same degree, seemed to compensate for his at times psychopathic riding. Sports fans love a character....and like Pedrosa, Marquez doesn't outwardly have any.

The last lap block pass on Pol was masterful - Espagaro was on fire today - I don't think that he or Iannone could have given any more - and Marquez out rode both of them. My heart skipped a beat when he cut in front of Pol though.

Good race - very exciting even the missus enjoyed it!

Marquez just doesn't know how to let anyone else win even when he can let the points go. His bike didn't look too much faster than everybody else's this weekend

Marquez rode brilliantly today, total class. Espargaro really looked demoralised as he crossed the line, he is a beaten man.

awesome last lap by both riders. really hope pol gets a good bike in 2014 so we can see this feud continued in gps

I didn't think Pol was moving up? There is only one more prototype on offer and I haven't heard him mentioned at all in connection with it.

agreed...Pol is a nice guy so you cant help but feel for him. At this point i feel like he is just admitting to himself that he cant beat him

Just saw the end of the race, ....... mental!

I used to really like Marquez, and stuck up for him a few times on here, but since the Wilarot incident, and some of passes since then, I just cannae take to the guy. He is a phenominal, no question, but I have this nagging feeling that 2013 is going to see him hurt. Certainly dont wish that on any rider, but if he jumps on a motogp bike with the aggression he rides with, I can see a lot of visits to the Clinica Mobile.

The kid is special. Masterful passing on the last lap. What makes him special is his will to win. He could not have cared less about his 48 point lead, he wanted the W and the glory that goes with it.

I think he has a few in the MotoGP paddock, not least his 2013 teammate, a bit nervous.....

Agreed and he will be very quick in Moto gp from the first race.

+1 ....he does need to relax tho. He has incredible saves when he twists the throttle a little to much but motogp bikes will be less forgiving.

Some good post here. Fantastic race. Just reminds me why I love motorcycle racing so much. Its a real thrill and marvelous to see what these guys can do. Bravo to all the podium finishers. I'd say Marc won that race on his racecraft given the caveat that the podium finishers all employ very similar race tactics (which at times is a bit much for me, particularly, for example, the defensive move Marc employed when he crossed rather dramatically Pol's line). I don't dislike this kid, as I do other characters in racing, like Pedro, Sofaglue, and a certain Brit rider who will remain nameless. Marc strikes me as a normal happy kid who is a shark on the track, but I do blame the adults around him, both from the garage and the league for not seemingly doing more to match up his obvious talent with responsible practice and racecraft. After all, it was his team that sent him out to try and make up for lost practice that almost caused suicide and Wilarot's murder.

Oh, btw, he is still on the best machine, hands down, but his win today was down to his talent, tactics, and will to win.

Sometimes i wonder why i watch motogp when there is moto2 + 3. What a great 3 way battle, some real race craft to be seen.

Brilliant racing compa. Btw, did you notice Marc's rear wheel stepping out on that right hander? What's that all about? Maybe BM can explain that strange but wonderful display of negotiating a turn. (I mean, after he is done with his duties as the commander in charge quelling the protests in Sydney that popped up this weekend).
