Solid racing again this weekend, though the back-and-forth didn't last from flag to flag. Bautista was too strong, and narratives about the Panigale's perceived weaknesses seemed to be proven false. Personally, I never bought the idea that Bautista was riding around problems. The Ducati was on rails at Misano, and it was punching better down the short straights too. If Ducati were having struggles, the tire compounds must have been the source. Bautista was untouchable at Misano, and the other Ducati riders were taking points off of the competition. Rinaldi relegated Rea to 4th in Race 2.

It was nice to see Toprak finally notch a win in the superpole race, but the mechanical DNF in Race 1 moved him even farther from the championship picture. Bautista already has one hand on the trophy, but the same could be said of 2019.

Redding has put himself on top of the BMW heap, but that's not saying much. A couple of top 10s.

Vierge and Lecuona rode well, but Vierge's crash will require surgery to his wrist. Gerloff appears to be psychologically defeated. Locatelli just barely hanging on to his seat? Unclear because maybe Beaubier will stop messing around in Moto2.
