Any of you guys got yer steed fitted with a pair of these babies
I've always had my bike fitted with Metzeler M1's, their a great tyre on and off track. On the road I'd get about 1800 miles to the rear and about 3500 on the front, My car has been parked up for the past two weeks and will be until December at the earliest. From a ecominical perspective and with all the ...... weather we've been having I decided to go for a ST tyre. The choice was either Bridgestone BT020 or the PR 2's. I chose the PR 2's. My first time putting Michelins on one of my bikes and have just got back, covered about 60miles and these tyres are awsome, they heat up so fast and stick so much more than I thought they would and there only about half scrubbed in. Ok so there not an outright sticky tyre but I was'nt expecting it to be. Its far better than what I thought it would be. I really am impressed with this tyre and can't wait to see how they react in the wet, thats supposed to be where they excel, I'm hooked on this tyre and next time I'm going to the track I'm going to try the PS 2's
So Michelin made a great tyre even better derived from their Motogp technology. I never thought that it would filter down to this standard for a road tyre let alone a ST tyre
I do have a question
Any of you guys use say the BT014 and the PS 2's or the BT020 and PR 2's? Which did you find better?
I've used Bridgestones on another bike a few years back, but I've never compared the two brands on the same bike.
I never really cared about Motogp going to a single tyre rule because I was on Metzeler's and it never affected my consumers choice, but now that I've seen the light and found what a real road tyre is like. I've been thinking if Michelin are out of Motogp whats going to happen with the development of their tyres? I know I don't really have to worry about this because the tyres as they stand will always be more than enough for the average Joe like myself, but if Bridgestone get it and with the lack of competion their road tyres could become crap. I don't know, I'm over thinking it now. I'm going out for a ride to clear my head and leave some black lines on the road
PR 2's kick ...
