There has been all sorts of noises coming out of the F1 paddock over the past couple of months over the speculation whether Schumi will decide to jack it all in at the end of the season.

Here are pretty much the topics that have been covered so feel free to add.

Hes 37

If Ferrari produce another lacklustre car he'll definatley go I think.

Another interesting fact is that Toyota have taken a keen interest in obtaining his services.

Ive created a poll with a variety of answers for you to guess or speculate on.

I think this is his last season with Ferrari unless he wins another championship with them. If Schumacher wins the WDC with Ferrari in 2006 then I believe he will stay on for one season at a time until he feels like switching over to the Senior F1 tour, DTM. If Ferrari fails to give him a good car this year I think he goes to Toyota for 2007 to work with his brother and the German team. If he does make the switch to Toyota I give him two seasons to get it sorted and win a title or else he will call it quits. Long story short, Michael Schumacher will be racing in Formula 1 for no more than three more seasons.

He will retire because Alonso will win the WDC again and he will realize his time is over !

Personally I think it's Kimi's time. The Merc has to have figured out the reliability issues... right?

Maybe Honda have poured enough cash into their factory team as to make JB a WDC contender... just maybe.

Don't really follow F1, but I got this gut feeling that he ain't got the guts to leave Ferrari for anther team. Don't ask me why, I just think so. He's close to retirement, but I think he's still got a few seasons in denial before that happens.

I should try getting into F1 I guess, but in Australia you got the MotoGP on around midnight Sunday night, then sometimes a F1 race after that. And compared with the bikes its soooo bloody boring. No passes, "Civilised" crashes, how can you guys watch that stuff? It's beyond me

It's a more strategical game, there ain't much overtaking, but that's how it is, I didn't like it at the beggining due to the lack of "action" but soon I started to like it, it's different to bike racing. Overtaking in bikes sometimes is meaningless (125cc) in F1 is a great moment.

GO ALONSO !

It's obviously an aqquired taste, but at 2am on a monday morining for all the rounds on your side of the world, given the choice between that and sleep, I choose sleep.

I too wish there was more overtaking but just like Teo, I enjoy it. Not because it's tactical or strategized but because these are the best drivers in the world driving the best cars in the world tuned by the best mechanics in the world on the best circuits in the world. Formula 1 is an absolute spectacle and I wish I had more time to follow it.

Go JB!

By the way Teo, you still hang around Planet F1?

Schumacher the most overated champion ever!!!!! Sooner he goes the better and Ferrari as well cheating bas. And no Alonso is not the next Schumacher Teo he is a far better guy.

F1 is all about "The Car" and how much money you can throw at it, its got stuff all to do with driver talent. As a spectical of close racing, bravery, drive skill, it dosn't really rate. Show me world Darts Championship anyday.

Actually my prediction for the F1 season is this.

- I won't watch any of it
- I will flick over from the news when the report comes on
- I will quickly turn the page when F1 article appears in the paper.

Yeah I do but mostly on the Spanish thread, I can't be bothered with all the crap that gets into the other threads, it seems that forum attracts all the morons on-line. And then there's the disciples ...

Is it that bad? Like your new pic too, mate

Honestly, I just fall asleep. When it's on right after Jerez '05, you get real bored real quick.

By the way, Ooost. I agree SOME of the F1 circuts are tops, but not all of them. The streets of Melbourne are bad enough when there's traffic on them.

I was going to say most of the best circuits in the world but decided it wouldn't have the same effect. I'd really love to go to Monaco for that round.

I have been a bit upset at what was done to F1..They reduced the ability to pass other cars...
I believe that is to change this season.
Hopefully they will not continue to Nascar-ize F1
